20 Oct 2011: A1 Ring

Welcome to the fourth race of the KS2 Series 2011.05: A1-Ring (substitute Korea, since this track isn't available for nKPRO)

Here is the schedule:
21:00 (GTM+1) Briefing in our Chat
Qualification: 20 minutes. No restriction on the amount of laps
Warmup: 5 min (waiting time before the race session)
Race 1: 35 laps

Full Mode will NOT be used.

To avoid some more problem we will not use Full Mode for this race.
You will be allowed to do whatever you want. In case of damage on your car you can press ESC, fix it and continue, even during the race.

We expect anyone to drive carefully anyway, avoiding problems.

Real weather will be used

Wet race tonight:
Light rain (20% rain)

A new server with this configuration will be up as soon as possible.

Please make sure you are allocated for the race.

Noooooooooooo....light rain...so slick tires....it will be an amazing race...

I would hope for some rain in all the other tracks, here is so nice to drive at limit with dry track, but this is how the real weather works...

la mia gara è finita perche si è bloccato tutto e mi ha buttato fuori dal serve vero peccato che ci siano sempre problemi con il bagnato anche a shangai la stessa cosa

da dire che il mio compagno di squaqdra ora sta ancora girando e condividiamo la stessa linea internet quindi non è un problema di linea sono deluso e incazzato perchè stavo facendo una buona gara.

Andrea....come verranno assegnati i punti della grara che è andata in crash?

no points will be assigned for this race since 10/15 guys had a CTD (again)!
Please let me know if you noticed anything weird, that can be reported to Kunos.
Let me know also what you what to do with this race:
- remove it from calendar
- repeat it in 2 weeks instead of ...
- postpone it at the end of the champ

ps io sono uscito con esc normalmente per aver visto tutti in rosso e le ombra in track..da 13 a 8 in 3 giri...bo..azz..ctd ctp o

Io sono uscito per "Lost connection" quindi ero dentro fino alla fine...Adrea ha buttato giù il server e quindi OUT tutti.

Il problema sta nella memoria....ma quando ho messo 8gb di ram e sk video con 2gb non ho mai più crashato.

Per la gara...quando volete la rifacciamo...magari asciutta...visto che nkp non ha un codice ottimizzato per svuotare la mem....

I went out for "Lost connection" so I was in until the end ... Adrea has thrown down the server, and then all OUT.

The problem lies in the memory .... but when I put 8gb of ram and sk video 2gb, I never crashed.

For the race when you want ... Let's make dry ... maybe ... as NKP has no optimized code to clear the mem ....

perhaps its the weather thats causing the CTD? as far as i can remember the two CTD races we had at the start of the year also had rain.

thats not the problem as i run with 9GB ram

I think the problem is the video card memory not the RAM. Can you give some details of yours and when (which lap) you had your CTD?

VERY IMPORTANT: did anyone still have a log available (\Documents\netKar PRO\logs)? can you please post it here. it might contain useful information for Kunos to investigate on the problem.
the only requirement is that you haven't used nk anymore after the CTD.

Let's hope we can help finding some clue about this nasty bug, otherwise it will not be possible anymore to run under the rain.

IO penso che il problemia sia da ricercare nell'uso della memoria. Ho visto che veniva indicato un uso di 1.9 gb di memoria al momento del crash. Per un sistema a 32 bit è normale che a 2 gb ci sia il crash del programma. io uso il minimo dei dettagli. Forse, durante la pioggia, non viene rilasciata una risorsa grafica, e dopo un po di giri (compreso 20 minuti di qualifiche) si raggiunge la saturazione della memoria. Il fatto che capita a tutti in tempi diversi, potrebbe confermare questa teoria


I think the problem is to be found in the use of memory. I saw that was given use of 1.9 GB of memory at the time of the crash.
