looks very promising indeed. im hoping they improve the sounds and physics dramatically - i wont be purchasing it otherwise. in order for this to be succesful it needs to have great graphics (which it has, dx11 looks amazing), physics, sounds and netcode.

    lets wait and see Smile

I kinda like those sounds. Especially engine. Not strange buzz like Netkar, LFS or iRacing. Well iRacing sounds are not buzzing just very weak.

Can't say much about physics before I drive it. Junior license for 10 euros is not much, so maybe I'll join after some development and more positive comments.

Also saw a video about UI. Looked like console stuff...

For a pre-alpha this is nice and have to keep my eye on it. Always space for new driving games. cheers

You definately need patience with this one. After an hour and a half I couldn't get my wheel setup properly. It was giving me 100 degrees of rotation. Razz

The UI is almost exactly the same as Shift and Shift2.

Nope they want 10 euros to be able to get updates once a month. 25 euros to receive the once a week update. Personally I thought it was junk since I couldn't even setup my wheel. But maybe that's just me being naive and thinking a racing sim should be easy at setting up your wheel. Laughing I gave them 10 euros and it's off my computer already. They ignored me when I brought up the issue on their forums. Moderators were quick to move it in the proper sub forum though.

Activity on their forums is quite high. So lots have given them money. Looks like they are doing well so far.

I tried it, simply amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! unheard!!!!!!!!!!!!!
and here no subscription! fixed price, car circuit next everything is included

IRacing is really going to cry!!!!!!!!! lol especially that we must think that it is only just a beta! changing every week

Price 25 euros for all bébéficier weekly updates!

but beware, the biggest cost is the config needed to run it, the engine of the simulation is based on DirectX 11, so for next-generation graphics card, a minimum of 4 gigabytes of memory is required, and a processor running at 2.8 GHz and an operating system managing direct x11 (win 7) also! but it really is the simulation of the future!!!!!

in my case, I had some initial problems with my G27, but just make sure you select the option DNAS control G27 whit separate pedals, and everything works fine! remains to affinner settings (Gary told me that it is possible with the F1 key ) in any case it has nothing to do with the management of buffers iRacing! lol

driving sensations are very good, everything is run, bump, vibrators, descent, Slide, while!!!!, and remember that this is a near -Alfa )

and needless to mention the graphics with DirectX 11! it's really another world

This is very much based on Shift2 so it's massive understatement to say it's pre-alpha or just 10% ready. Is some wheel support fix gonna be 90%? ::whistle::

wheel works ok for me ... regarding Pre- Alpha they are aware of bugs and much more thorough testing will take place...for example amongst many other things going on they are working with Nvidea to build graphics engine so not beta this is a two year project

I tried C.A.R.S. and what a discover, the FINAL and DEFINITIVE simulation for us hardcore simmers EXISTS......cheers

    .....

    .....

    .....

...but it's not C.A.R.S., it's netKar Pro with an updated graphic engine.... Laughing lol!

Joke apart, I find way more probable that kunos can develop a new DX11 engine for netkar than SMS develop physic to level of netKar.

There is a lot of work to do for them also to reach only the physic level of GTRevolution....

At the moment for me, the direction taken from SMS with this alphas is very disappointing.C.A.R.S 213749

It is not the physics that is missing although this will improve it is the tyre model...they say you will need to change tyres and if you dont they will be shredded...so that will be interesting... All cars melody

Tyre model for me belongs to what I generally consider to be physics in a simulation software. Nevertheless not important the definitions.

In cars there is not only the tyre model to change, there is a lot more, and not only physic: the FFB is odd, steering input is odd.

In one word at the moment it seems more a Shift2 modded to be less arcade than an alpha for the final car simualtion. That's what is disappointing me more..... from my point of view they started from a wrong point, if they could start from GTRevolution, Race, GTR2 with an updated graphic like the one seen in Shift2 and C.A.R.S. they were already miles away from where they are now.

Let's see, they have 18 months to change my opinion.....

You try to launch the game with the cars_ffb.exe file, I think the FFB is much better than in normal mode, still not perfect but it's a big improvement, feels very good.

is anyone else having input lag? seems theres about 0.5sec from me turning the wheel / pressing the pedals to the game / car responding?

Yes, one of the problem is the steering lag. Still trying many different settings found on forums to see if the situation about steering and FFB improve.
Tried the _ffb exe, surely better, but still miles away from what we have in GTRevolution, rFactor etc. Netkar on this side is another world.

As said, very disappointed, but they have 18 months to make me change opinion, Kunos in less that six months totally changed my opinion on netkar multiplayer.....
