    Autumn Ring

Post by René Lorig on Sat Mar 26, 2011 4:37 pm

Hey guys, here is my next track: Autumn Ring!
It's a conversion from rFactor by Madcowie and Lasercutter who gave permisssion to convert it. Smile The track is based on Gran Turismo 4(/5). It's still not finished, because netKar can't handle two materials on each other properly. Because of this you have to mind the curbs, they work as very bumpy grass, but I'm already trying to fix it (it may take a while). Also avoid leaving the track you may get stuck. Wink Very Happy

Till then: Have fun on this cool track! Smile

    New small update:
    AutumnRing_v1.2_Full_Package

-fixed some holes in the wall
-lowered a couple of kerbs that were creating problems (the car could get stuck over it)

This is a full package that includes all previous fixed (even the pitboard fixed by Rene')

    AutumnRing_v1,1.rar]AutumnRing_v1.1 full package
-fixed problem with the grass under the curbs

Autumn Ring Pitboard-Position HOTFIX (this is only the nkrefs.ini, which goes into the server-folder)
    -set pitboard-position

    AutumnRing v1.0
AutumnRing_v1.1_update only (the previous version is needed)

Feel free to post it anywhere, but don't forget to mention me. Wink

This is one of the best rFactor tracks, it's a pleasure to have it here too!

    Noticed a small problem:

There seems to be grass underneath this curb...

    which spun me out Razz

Yes, I that was meant with "mind the curbs", almost every curb has grass underneath it, and I need to fix it. And I am fixing it, but it takes some time.

Ah, I guess it helps to read release notes Very Happy Can't you just detach then delete the grass underneath the curbs?

Only at some curbs and there it's difficult, too. Most of the time I have to use "Quickslice" very much before I can delete the grass, and that takes some time :-/

Sometimes I find it easier to delete stuff then merge it back in (if that's the issue you're having). At Blackwood cars were getting stuck in the box due to an object underneath & I fixed it that way.

Well I already tried your method a few weeks ago, but it didn't work. Now i started with the Quickslice method. The curb at the left before T1 should already work in the version I released.

Some time ago, Rene' asked us to help him out fixing the problem of the grass under the curb on his track.
Mario finally found some time to work on it, and here is the new version:

AutumnRing_v1.1_update only (the previous version is needed)
    AutumnRing_v1,1.rar]AutumnRing_v1.1 full package

Thanks a lot to Mario for his work, and to Rene' for his trust on our team. Sorry for being so late Smile

It seems that there is something wrong with the first link. Every time it appears something like a code and after that firefox is crashing. Shocked
The second link (full package) works just fine.

    Thanks for the fix guys!!!

strange, I can download the update without any problem (with chrome). The link, nor the file name, has nothing strange on it. Does anyone else has the same problem? Can you try to download it using a different browser?
