Imola 2011, a scratch made track from Mauro Delega'.


Release Date: Thursday 24 November 2011

Friday, Saturday and Sunday Radiator Springs Racing Team will host the Grand Opening for their new track.
It will be a 3 days of fun during the practice sessions that will end up with 2 final official races.


Our ranked servers will be online, and everyone will be welcome to join. The best times will be logged, and groups for the official races will be based on that.

Track: Imola 2011 Full GP
Car: Osella PA-21S

Schedule:
Prequalification: from Friday to Sunday
Sunday at 15:00 rank times will be frozen and the the entry list for the official race will be published on our website.

Sunday 27 Novemeber 2011: Official Races
21:00 (CET) Briefing in our chat
Qualification: 20 minutes. No restriction on the amount of laps
Warmup: 5 min (waiting time before the race session)
Race 1: 15 laps
Race 2: 40 laps (pitstop will be needed)

Venerdi', Sabato e Domenica il team Radiator Springs Racing innaugurera' il loro nuovo tracciato: Imola 2011. Un circuito creato da zero da Mauro Delega'.
Vi aspettano 3 giorni di puro divertimento. Due gare ufficiali precedute da 3 giorni di sessioni di pratica per stabilire i gruppi per l'evento ufficiale.

About the track...No words..Couldnt believe that moders could do such a briliant job in netkar extra tracks...Thanks for that track


Edit:I thought only first 15 drivers will race.

Such a pity that I can't do this race, I am away friday & saturday, I get home on sunday morning and will spend most of the day sleeping, will wake up to watch the F1 race at 4 o'clock.
But I'm sure there will be many more great races here.
I love this track, fast and flowing, my kind of track.

Osella has been chosen as the event car, simply because it's just lovely on this track. You will see.

I'll try to make friends with the Osella, but only cos I love the track

Anche io ho avuto lo stesso pensiero, attualmente sto' rivalutando moltissimo la Ftarget

Io mi sono iscritto e volevo sapere se si deve dare l'adesione anche nel GPCOS, dove, per altro mi sono appena registrato, grazie.

L'idea per questo evento era di semplificare la registazione con il form invece di GPCOS. Abbiamo preferito questo approccio visto che e' un evento rivolto ad un pubblico piu' ampio e magari poco abituato agli eventi organizzati sul nostro sito. I risultati saranno comunque caricati su GPCOS e pubblicati sul sito.

Qui sul forum indicheremo i prossimi passi e daremo tutte le informazioni necessarie per ogni passo.

Guys few informations about the prequalification competition.

We want this to be a fun event for everyone so we expect everyone to stick to the rules, and to abort the lap in case of illegal cut of a corner.
In case you have, by mistake an illegal laptime, please report it to me, so I can delete it from the rank.

Our server will be online and connected to the rank.
You can do your time for the prequalification in any server connected to the rank.


A small note for the users not so used to nk in game interface:
You can move to the next session in the server pressing ESC > NEXT SESSION

After almost one year of work, here is finally Imola: the new scratch made track created by Mauro Delega', Radiator Springs Racing Team.

As already announced, we will host a nice 3 days event to celebrate the Grand Opening of our new track. See you on track.

Just thought I'd share a close shave which happened during one of the races tonight:

The testing races tonight were out of control , I (we) needed to build a setup first. Strangely the aero value sometimes showed eg. 3.0 % and then when I pitted again (new tires again and same
fuel amount again) it suddenly showed less 2.7 % and the packer values differed too, maybe the surface is not 100% plain in the box sometimes, I could not explain this behaviour (but doesn't matter much).

The track is pretty nice with this sharp and detailed textures (I like this asphalt, same texture kind like it was in the first Mugello release) but also very performance demading.
With full grid at the start the FPS goes down to a minimum and the movement nearly freezes (like in Monza in the second chicane).
I use a GTX 560ti now.., was hoping to get an improvement compared to my 'old' ATi HD 5770, but the problems are still the same, the card didn't solved it (still some bad FPS in Monza at
the second chicane as well at a full grid.. as long as the v-mirror is turned on).
Mainly my prozessor is too slow for the card, it limits the graphic card you could say. Overclocking my Athlon II X3 from 2,9 to eg. 3,6 MHZ helps out of this misery (a bit).
Tomorrow I'll try the performance under my Win7 install instead of the good old XP Pro, in Win7 the graphic card seems to act with higher FPS rate, but yet I'm not sure, I'll see tomorrow.

The base setup posted on the previous page (from Simon) is really nice, I normally hate the Osella I didn't think the driving was that bad, a few incidents but I still had fun. I recently overclocked my X6 from 2.8 to 3.3GHz, & it made no difference (in iRacing which runs like crap on my PC for some reason).

ah, didn't know about the posted base setup.., I will try it out. But my setup finally was ok at the very end (1:42.1 min., I think the other two seconds he was faster than me are due to the better skills by Simon).
