15 Dec 2011: Autumn Ring

In September we were forced to postpone this event to complete the very last tests before the v1.3 release.
Now we can finally race in this wonderful track with this very challenging car. A really nice finale for the All Round Series.

So, welcome to the eight and last event of the All Round Series

We will race with the Formula 1800 on the Autumn Ring track

Here is the schedule:
21:00 (GTM+1) Briefing in our Chat
Qualification: 20 minutes. No restriction on the amount of laps
Warmup: 5 min (waiting time before the race session)
Race 1: 8 laps
Race 2: 20 laps (inverted grid for the the first 6 drivers)

Full Mode will NOT be used.

To avoid some more problem we will not use Full Mode for this race.
You will be allowed to do whatever you want. In case of damage on your car you can press ESC, fix it and continue, even during the race.

We expect anyone to drive carefully anyway, avoiding problems.

im afraid I can't compete in this one .. working in retail coming up to Christmas sucks ,, the grinch works in retail im sure

Buonasera ragazzi, non riesco ad entrare nel server Autumn Ring...sono l'unico che ha questo problema??? nella pratica invece nessun problema.

@Simon: Do you shift with auto-clutch 'on' , simple gear 'off' ? Looks just so incredibly fast how you manage to lift the gas just for some ms in just that very neccessary amount to get into the next gear.
For me personally your setup is too oversteery at the end of corners (sliding) -but faster inner some corners-, at my setup I use more ARB to the front (+ less slow rebound at rear,..) and a much less ride high of
the car, that prevents a bit the sliding also (car is more bound to the track at fast corners) and the tires might last longer.

MIght have to be careful into the first corner on the first couple of laps during the races on this track guys, have been getting some massive lag into that corner when doing some racing online.



Tip

I have a massive 'lag' too there at the first corner (in fact it's not lag only, it's more the track with much elements displayed there at once like at monza second chicane), with just 4 cars it happened yesterday after
every start -with 15 cars it might freeze-, so same problem here. But I hope I might solve it a bit by overclocking my CPU, helped much to increase my overall PC + graphics performance at Imola for example.

i have some problem...5 sec freeze or more

Tonight I drove with overclocked CPU and the low FPS at first corner got better for me, with a few cars it is fine, but with a full grid I might have a freeze as well.
People with no 'high-end' configuration will have problems unfortunately.
Don't know if this maybe happens even more with the F1800... ?, at the Blackwood race I had some seconds freeze as well at the starts with much cars around in turns 2-4 (but still with no PC tuning at
that time/event and another graphics card).

in the list i'm third with more than 200 points but i have only 124 points really

Poi perchè c'è un M Caputi ed un Max Caputi ??!! Io mi sono iscritto e registrato dappertutto (Control Center e Team ) come Max Caputi ed entro sui Server come Max Caputi e sul Rank Max Caputi...

Infatti dice che non ho ancora corso ma l'evento a Monza l'ho fatto.Solo Gara 1 ma c'ero. Cancellate quel M Caputi se potete lasciando Max Caputi che credo sia quello corretto.

Like for example R Tippet I had a very sudden happening 10 sec. ! lasting freeze of PC after both race-starts.
I hope noone hit me after freeze.. (at second race it didn't -just crashed myself-, but maybe at the first start ?).
Maybe there are 'too much' trees on that track as well -like at Monza- which somehow costs that much performance for the NetKar engine.
With half a grid it is ok -had no problems with tuned PC,- but as soon as the grid gets like nearly completely filled, the performance goes down as a whole.

Was hoping for a better result here -thinking the overclocking helped out of this misery, but perfromance was still not enough for this track at full grid-.
So by ESC to pits and going out again I lost already half a lap at both races at the start and of course could not catch up to the grid anymore.
Just got two people at race two, who made mistakes and else. I was lapped -1 in just the very last lap of race2 (unfortunataley ) by Vincent and Nasos, both very close behind each other and still fighting.

edit: btw. funny, that my champ.-position at the end of both series (KS2 and All Round) resulted at 11th pos. on each one.
