Second event of our KS2 Championship: Barcelona 2010

Here is the schedule:
Meeting point: Website Chat: 21:00 CET (GTM+1)
Briefing: 21:15
Stay in pit session: 5 minutes (in this session you must stay in pit)
Qualify: 30 min
Race 1: 12 laps
Warmup 5 minutes
Race 2: 28 laps (inverted grid for the first 6 drivers)


Groups will be based on the classification of the allocated drivers.

Please make sure you are allocated for the race. Check here how to do it.

Groups will change dynamically with the allocations.
Please make sure that you don't have double allocations for the same track.
In case you want to edit your status, just press EDIT instead of creating a new one. This will create issues, and a bit of overhead for me to fix it, so please be careful.

Make sure you have your allocation at least 1 day before the race. This will help us organizing servers properly.


For this race also all groups will use RSRPoints_B_C distribution points.
From next race on groups will use different distibution points.

Just as a reminder, Barcelona 2010 has a chicane. It's not allowed to go straight.
In case, by mistake, you go there, just make sure you will not use this in your advantage. slow down, and in case you were battling with someone give him road.

We will not tolerate cunning moves! in case we will spot anyone going straight there, we will ban him for a race.
We have quite a lot of witnesses around, and nice replays!

ho un quesito per gli organizzatori. giovedì sera purtroppo dovrò partecipare ad una riunione e non ce la farò ad essere in chat alle nove né in qualy alle nove e un quarto.
domanda: se dovessi far in tempo sarebbe possibile entrare a qualifica iniziata? ovviamente controllerei che la gara non sia già cominciata e me ne starei lì buono nel mio bel box...

un'altra cosa: andrea ma gara 2 sono 28 o 29 i giri?

puoi entrare a qualifica iniziata. L'unica ovvia raccomandazione: ricordati di non chattare a sessione iniziata.

A lot of people is saying that they cannot partecipate to the barcelona 2010 race since they do not have the GTL disk...
They can download the track from the second link, which will not ask for the GTL disck

Two questions....
1. Barcellona is quite heavy in comparison of the other track for PC hardware...is there any way to make it lighter (my video setting are the minimun but I have some problems in the chicane...it is not smooth there)? Can I modify some file in order to remove for example the building around the track.....?
2. Can I remove the split time data from the steering wheel (it move my attention from track to the steering wheel!!!)

in the options of simulation, is when you stand in the view option is trying to increase your FOV, and compensates for your driving position with the seat adjustment

1: Barcelona too heavy:
I think you can try several things:
-lower your resolution and quality , view distance, remote car details etc.
-run in full screen (nk pro video config)
-hide your movable steering wheel (nk pro video config)
-close/kill all programs that you don't need (msn/skype/antivirus/utilities....) try to free up some RAM, if you don't have too much
-you can create a low resolution textures pack (although it's just 52 MegaByte. shouldn't be too much)
-there is a way to delete objects, but for now i suggest you to do try with those before. In case you still face problems send me a PM and I will explain you how to do it.

someone still does not understand! Qualcuno ancora non capisce che non si passa dal lato esterno!

We decided to create an average because will help understanding if the driver is constantly on those times.

ahahah...dai Michele che ti mancano pochi decimi!
Un applauso a Gek, che sembra aver finalmente trovato la sua strada anche con il volante (dopo aver fatto dannare Michele quando usava tastiera e mouse ) dimostrando anche a chi aveva dubbi, di essere un gran bel pilota. Sin dalle prime versioni pre-release che abbiamo testato ha dimostrato di essere immediatamente molto a suo agio con la KS2. Bravo!!

Grazie per i complimenti Andrea... e poi come dici tu .. sulla media giro siamo davvero molto vicini e credo che sarà una bellissima lotta in pista.

Si, ho notato, Gek è molto veloce con la KS2.
Io con le "alate a ruote scoperte" non sono mai stato un fulmine e ho deciso poi di fare sto campionato per farci pratica. Mi sto accorgendo che rispetto alle altre (parlo di F1800 e 500 che conosco meglio) il setup è molto importante, con una modifica azzeccata si possono togliere anche + che semplici decimi.
Riccardo al momento è impegnato nel concludere (e 99 su 100 vincere) un altro champs e spero che non appena l'avrà concluso possa darmi una mano nel capire dove mettere, con successo, le mani nel setup della KS2 anche se sta KS2 non lo entusiasma.
Cmq per ora sono soddisfatto cosi anche se l'obiettivo è sempre il solito, essere il + vicino possibile ai primi che poi è l'unica ragione per cui mi metto al volante ihihihi.

@Gek, il tuo passo gara è almeno 1,5 sec al giro + veloce del mio quindi ancora c'ho da lavorà.

Just as a reminder for everyone, we will NOT use FULL MODE for this event also, due to a bug that prevent us to use it.

In the previous race, some drivers haven't understood the rules, due to a late communication. We identified anyway the drivers who did some mistakes.

From now on, everyone that will not stick to the rules will be penalized.

There was some penalty for last race ?

we are finalizing them.

Unfortunately we go replays from all groups extremely late.

Hi all

For me this is the first experience with a champ. I did several on-line races in drivingitalia servers, each time trying to be costant and to let the other drivers faster than me pass. I never touched the setup, i'm not able to do this kind of things.
I ask to the more experts drivers if they agree to have a contact with me and my team (McHallo R.T.), in order to support me in the setup and give me suggestions to drive safely without to be a problem to the others. If they are italians and perhaps live close to me (i'm in Trento), this is fine.
