I have no idea what most of the setup options do in netkar and would like to learn. Thanks.

Setup Guide
I remember reading somewhere that somebody was working on a setup guide in english. Has anybody else seen or possibly know that it has been done.
I have no idea what most of the setup options do in netkar and would like to learn. Thanks.

Re: Setup Guide
That's a general guide. Someone said they were gonna translate BoNI's setup guide (not heard anything since though).

Re: Setup Guide
You can link, RSR aren't like the Nazi's on RaceDepartment (a bit extreme but you get my point) That guy used Google translate unfortuently (and it's worse than the one I did before for personal use (but at least he tried)) Also you can link to individual posts on DI, just click the number to the top right of the post.

Re: Setup Guide
Thanks fellas. I take that as a no....lol. Oh well. Hopefully the tin top car will be out soon so I can start driving netkar again without using the default setup.

Actually I find setup knowledge is very hard to come by, especially with netkar. It could be a language issue though. I think most netkar drivers don't speak english....lol.

Re: Setup Guide
Anyone who can write a good setup guide in english gets a huge hug and a permanent space on netkarcentral.com to host it.
Seriously. We've got what everything does, but nothing to join the dots and explain how to put it all together. I dont have the knowledge to write it myself, so we need outside assistance.

Re: Setup Guide
Hi, i'm the guy who, using a bit of google, and other translators, and a bit of common sense, tried to translate the guide.
In the link you can get the translated draft so other people could help with the improvement of the translation, and fortunately other friend from the community is helping me out for the final.
I personally think that this guide http://netkarcentral.com/car-setup-wiki is very good, hopefully with boni's guide in english we will have a lot to read and to understand the physics of racing.

Re: Setup Guide
I'm glad people seem to like the stuff on netkarcentral. Its not really designed as a guide, but to explain what each setting will do. I've still got a few to write up. Just want to be sure i've got it all right before i put it online

Re: Setup Guide
Hi guys, here´s is the file in word format of my translation.
I´m still waiting for a friend in this forum to help me out with the correct translation, since i´ve mostly used translation softwares that are not 100% accurate.
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=NT2AO4H0
it´s 99% understandable anyways. but i´d like to have the cool setup guide format from boni in english, as we all would.

Re: Setup Guide
my idea is to respect what boni did with he´s words and effort, therefore a basic translation would be ok, without changing too much he´s ideas.
if it´s ok with him the added information will be just fine

Re: Setup Guide
i dont intend to re-write the whole guide, just simply add little parts in from my experiences and knowledge to help give the new users a better idea of how to setup the car.
dont worry

let's talk in PM if you want, and i'll update the guide. i prefer that no one modify MaiDireSetup, if not internal to our team. i think you can understand...MikaRaymond wrote:just simply add little parts in from my experiences and knowledge
Leonardo is just doing a translation job to make this guide comprehensive to all, and i thank him for this...

Re: Setup Guide
ah ok, if it is you can help Leonardo... the important thing is that it does not change anything to the original text...MikaRaymond (Gio Dic 16, 2010 12:31 pm) wrote:sure. ill just simply clean up the translation for you
if instead you have additional information, we can talk about them and i can consider to add also in the italian version...
