Re: NVM
From scratch or a conversion? 3ds Max's the main tool you use for 3d Modelling, but if you just wunna experiment in creating a track from scratch then maybe try Bobs track builder, but remember it doesn't support nKPro so you'll need to convert your work. This is where 3dSimEd comes in. It converts from various formats (most of the time). All this is before you even get to kofedit and can then race your track in nKPro!

I'd like to try a conversion but I'm still waiting for a response. So if it's a no then maybe from scratch...lol.

Re: NVM
Where's the track from? You can always experiment, then ask permission when you're going to release it. A scratch build's a bit ambitious to start with, but Stephane made F1 Stadium using BTB (from scratch). I think 3dSimEd comes with a months trial or something so download that & start playing around with converting.

Re: NVM
3dSimEd will do then. You'll also need a copy of 3dsMax. Try Gerard's method (post No.4 (it worked for Mountain Sprint)), if that doesn't work then use Alberts (which was also Gerard's original method ).
P.S. 3dsMax isn't easy to use, it might take a while to get used to it (it did me).

Re: NVM
You can download a trial version of it on it's homepage (autodesk.com), or, if you're a student(you have to create another account for activition on autodesk.com, here you have to live in the USA, I guess), you can register on their students page (students.autodesk.com) and download a free student version. (Full version for free)

Re: NVM
Neither , but I think Evo's more to do with SimBin games, so Pro.

Re: NVM
Well I've got the track loaded into 3dsimED. I wanted to know what I had to do to get it into netkar to test. I want to add more rubber to the track but would like to test on netkar first. If someone can help me out that would be great. Thanks.

Thanks! wow! this 3dmax is an awesome program. No wonder it's $4,000. lol. I might have to take a course to figure out how to use it.

Re: NVM
lol. It's been fun playing with it so far. I'm surprised I got the track into 3d max as well!! There is a language barrier between myself and the person who made the track for gtr2 unfortunatley. But still having fun

No official manual, but there're tutorials in this section, with some input from Kunos & Si3v.
