Fifth race of the Open Wheel Series: Interlagos on FTarget

Here is the schedule:
Prequalification
drivers from 1 to 15 in group A
drivers from 16 to 30 in group B

Thursday 19 July 2012
21:00 (CET, UTC+1) Briefing in our Chat
Qualification: 15 minutes. No restriction on the amount of laps
Warmup: 5 min (waiting time before the race session)
Race 1: 38 laps



We will use for the remaining of the championship the official version of nkpro and not the rsr upgrade. Our servers have been already downgraded.

Please use your backup of the nks.exe It will not be possible to connect to our server with the rsr update anymore.

Live Timing is not upadated. My current PB is 1.30.765 (replay also saved)

Ops a me dice che il client server non è aggiornato quando entro nel server! Cosa devo fare?

devi utilizzare la versione standard (ufficiale) di nk. non useremo piu' la versione rsr update.

Does Maarten do his first five laps with already some practice and setup changes done ?, it always looks so incredible that he just needs one or two laps on the server -if with no practice before-,
do be that fast.

Usually those really are my first laps But after that i don't get much faster hehe.

-My first laps here weren't bad either, 1:30 at the second hotlap, but that worked out just because this particular track is well known and kind of 'simple'.
To get much under 1:30 I needed to adjust the setup out of Hungaroring first and that takes some testing to find the best working boundaries.

Qual è l'attuale situazione dell'entry list a fronte dei tanti piloti che hanno girato sul server ?! Sul Control Center ho visto pochi piloti allocati con date di luglio...si spera che non vada a finire come 2 settimane fa Si può avere un'idea di quella che sarà l'entry list definitiva con un certo anticipo ? Al momento c'è ancora quella dell'Ungheria.

Basterebbe chiudere in modo tassativo l'allocation e di conseguenza l'entry list alle 14 o 16 del giorno della gara e così si eviterebbe l'incertezza degli ultimi minuti, soprattutto per chi, come il sottoscritto, è sempre in bilico tra i due server... Ogni tanto un po' di cattiveria non guasta.

Questo è il primo campinato che faccio con Voi ed ho visto cambiare l'entry list a pochi secondi dalla gara, addirittura già in chat, un po' troppe volte... con conseguenti ritardi.Credo sia una forma di correttezza e rispetto anche per chi non è velocissimo.

Please try to be carefully (watch) regarding my car at the start and the braking zone into the first corner, I'm a bad starter here, because my 1st gear is set to 129 km/h, so while others start like a rocket I have a bad acceleration, I could make the 1st gear shorter, but I need 1st gear also on the track, so I can't adjust it too much.

race: bad first lap - two cars in front of me collided at t5 and both standing on the track, I was driving through the gap between this two cars without problem, but then the car at the left side accelerated and crashed into mine just at the moment as I was driving through the gap between both of them, so the race was finished in first lap. -Don't move until cars are through !

My qualy:

I pretty much only did hotlapping to practice for this event, but i knew that it would be hard to be quicker than Fulvio here. Looked very close between Mr. Orsetti and me in qualy, so i had to keep pushing. I pushed a little bit too hard, and couldn't get my pb of 26,3. 0,4 slower..but it got me 2nd on the grid. Pretty happy with that, although i knew my starts were bad with this car (pretty much every car though )

My race:

Had a TERRIBLE start!! First had wheelspin off the line, then lifted to get rid of it, and i dropped so low in the revs that i couldnt get away. Very thankful to Mario (i think) for taking it easy in T1, and letting me have 3rd. I was taking it easy behind Fulvio and Luca in the first few laps, but i noticed i could gain some time on Luca in the middle sector, so i decided to try to pass him. I made it stick (don't quite remember where) and was in 2nd. Still taking it easy as i had no idea how long my tyres would last with my driving style, i was trying to be smooth on corner entry, and on the exits (heavy right foot). I noticed i was keeping up with Fulvio, and my plan was to wait until the pitstops, and to start pushing when he went in for his stop, as i thought i had more fuel than him, so could go longer and pass him with the pitstops. After about 10 laps i wasn't so sure about that anymore, so started to push a little harder to try and pass Fulvio. After a few laps of terrifying fighting with him, i managed to get past him, and stay in front. After that it was managing the tyres, and trying not to make any mistakes.

Alot of fun again, thanks to all the backmarkers for making my life easy, and congrats to the whole REDLINE team for their top 6 finishes!

Come prima gara nel Server A dei mostri neppure malaccio. L'importante era non arrivare ultimo... Mi dispiace aver perso una posizione nei confronti di M.Waechter sul quale avevo 12 secondi dopo il suo incidente nel primo giro, ma evidentemente li ho persi tutti al pit e forse anche nell'episodio con Graziano ed Iliano, che ha comportato un mio discreto rallentamento in quel giro. Solita gara esente da errori ma con passo più lento di tutti...del resto ho capito troppo tardi che si poteva girare più scarichi. Ormai per non rischiare ho fatto la gara con ali 19-17...

Grazie ancora a Vincent per avermi ceduto il posto ed allo staff per l'invito nel Server.
