netKar PRO v1.30.1727 RSR update


Kunos worked on few bugs we desperately wanted to be fixed, and created a new small release for us to test.

We will use this new version for our championship so we can fully test it before it will be distributed officially.
This new version includes:
- in a server configured with 2 consecutive race sessions, the server is not moving automatically to the second race session [FIXED]
- disabled automatic go to grid. This will avoid having cars on the grid when the driver is not in front of his pc
- improvements on the sound engine (backfire).

NOTE: The server will not allow you to use the previous version.
Please create a backup of your current nks.exe and nkserver.exe

mi dispiace disturbarvi...il problema è sempre lo stesso....ma qualcuno potrebbe spiegarmi precisamente cosa dovrei fare con questi file?

Prima fai un backup dei tuoi files nks.exe e nkserver.exe poi metti i nuovi nella cartella di \nkpro13

is this only for RSR server or everybody should update it along with their servers?

Anyone can upgrade their server to get the advantages of it.
The 2 versions aren't compatible (you can connect with a new nks to an old nkserver and viceversa), so you will not have confusion.
You will get this message:




This update brings along even some more modifications Kunos worked on (I don't know the details), so it's definitely worth trying it, even because it will be released soon anyway.
It's a way to try it in advance, and eventually find bugs.

Se ho capito bene, in attesa della versione ufficiale della nuova release Kunos, questa è stata data da testare in anteprima per Voi e senza ci compare il messaggio di errore sui Vs. Server, che ovviamente avete aggiornato. Ma chi, come me, sta facendo gare anche su altri server, dove ovviamente è tutto in regola, come si deve comportare ?! Se metto questo Update immagino non mi funzionino più gli altri o sbaglio ? Non vorrei dover sostituire continuamente alcuni file...(Quelli di cui si consiglia il Backup ), pertanto attendo chiarimenti e se questo update dovesse incasinare gli altri server , io vi dico già che non lo installerò.Inoltre in questo pacchetto oltre ai 2 .exe ci sono 4 file in più, di cui due librerie. Quindi nel caso si rimettessero gli exe originali, di cui facciamo il backup, si possono lasciare gli altri 4 file?

In estrema sintesi se metto l'update entro negli altri server che non ce l'hanno ? Immagino di no !

le dll non creano problemi.
l'unico file che devi cambiare per andare sugli altri server e' il nks.exe

Il mio consiglio e', anche per gli altri siti che organizzano gare, di utilizzare il nuovo exe. Contattero' in privato gli admin di iron per maggiori informazioni.

Ho appena parlato con gli amministratori di iRON e mi hanno detto che verra' utilizzato anche sui loro server.

Non mi riferivo agli IRON, cmq se si tratta di sostituire ogni volta solo gli esecutivi valuterò la cosa...Del resto ho 2 computer e quindi la cosa è più agevole, vorrà dire che installerò tutto il materiale per Il Champ RSR con l'update sul nuovo ;-)

Puoi sempre creare 2 istallazioni sullo stesso pc.

Guys i dont know about u but i still dont want to stop racing nk,i mean i want of course AC to be released but on the other hand i feel that i didnt enjoyed fully nk xD
I started nk from summer of 2010..dunno maybe the physics/ffb are so good comparing to others which make me feel that way.
Its a bit strange that are still people-simracers that dont know nk or didnt tryed it..I mean they dont know how good it is or maybe they dont see aewsome videos or news and they think that maybe its crap or something..They dont know what they loose xD

ragazzi una curiosità, quando voglio configurare un'evento con nk server tool così composto:
pratica - qualifica - gara 1 - gara 2, per poter impostare la griglia invertita in gara 2, funziona impostando "at the end of the sequence restart from first session [invert grid]"?
oppure c'è qualche altro sistema?
non so come mai ma fin'ora per far funzionare la faccenda ho sempre dovuto configurare race 2, practice, qualifica e race 1.
Comunque gran cosa il fatto di non passare più automaticamente da gara 1 a gara 2.

Ho provato l'update, secondo me è fantastico. Come se le vecchie sensazioni di netKar fossero risorte
L'auto può sfuggirti in accelerazione, puoi sbagliare una staccata e andare lungo, e se sali su un cordolo non ti ribalti )))
Poi è vero, i tempi sul giro sono più lenti, ma la guida, per me, adesso è davvero divertente!

I have tried the update, IMHO it is great!
It seems to me that the old netKar sensations have been resurrected: you can lost the car in acceleration, you can miss a brake, and if you hit a kerb you don't flip anymore!!!
It is true that laptimes are slower, but I think the driving is much much better!

Timo, I don't know which changes are in this last update. What I know is that the general feeling, to me, is better, meaning that the cars now seem a lot more real to me. I didn't like too much the "game" feeling of the rear stability in 1.3 final. If I have to say without knowing the true, I would say: yes, physics change.

@Roberto Postinghel: premetto che non so nulla di cosa sia stato modificato nell'upgrade. Sono quasi sicuro che le modifiche riguardino tutte le auto, perché è stato modificato il file nks.exe - il simulatore vero e proprio - e non i file delle vetture. Principalmente mi sembra diversa l'aderenza del posteriore. Con rispetto parlando, nella 1.3 il posteriore mi sapeva un po' di arcade, adesso è un pelino più difficile, ma mi sembra più realistico e divertente. Soprattutto la pessima sensazione di ribaltarsi con una monoposto solo perché sali su un cordolo, è solo un brutto ricordo
Aggiungo che mi stupisce come Kunos e Radiators continuino a darmi delle gran soddisfazioni!!!

L'update è meraviglioso, aggiunge il tocco di reale alle auto che a mio parere era stato un pò perso dalla beta 1.3...ora si guida più istintivamente e non c'è più nessuna reazione strana, se sbagli (e con la gbv succede spesso) sai che è solo colpa tua! Ben fatto Kunos, il miglior aggiornamento per netkar dalla 1.2 dello scorso anno!

Devo dire che effettivamente, con la 500 e la F1800, la guida è diventata più naturale e, apparentemente, realistica. Invece con la gvb mi trovo molto a disagio nella guida, il grip è veramente poco (ad alta velocità soprattutto)... Le altre auto non le ho ancora provate.
