Qualcuno sa come aiutarmi? Se volete posso caricare su siti come megaupload ecc la pista completa in cui mancano da posizionare le suddette cose, anche perchè essendo la prima pista che realizzo non sono sicuro che quello che ho fatto vada bene Smile

Hi everyone, i have created a track using Bob's track builder, i ve already finished it including on it public, trees and guardrails. The only one things that i ve not done are the stop and start of the chronometer, the box and the cameras for replay.
The real problem start when i try to open it with 3d studio wax 2011 using all the necessary scripts because the program don t load the 3d model. Can someone help me? If you want i can upload the track on sites like megaupload so you can watch it by yourself and told me if i ve done a good work or not because it's my first attempt Smile

Hi, what format is your track in? Stephane did his first track (F1 Stadium) in Bobs track builder: http://forum.radiators-champ.com/t373-koflite-training#11740

I think he exported to the rFactor format from Bobs track builder. As for importing into Max, I've never been able to do so directly from the rF format, but I think SkyGT did: http://forum.radiators-champ.com/t469-tutorial-conversione-tracciati-03-import-rfactor-format-in-3d-max#13843

The more conventional way would be to use 3DSimED (there's a 20 day trial ver.) using one of the methods discussed in this thread: http://forum.radiators-champ.com/t474-simple-conversion-thread

    Hope this helps =)

Hi i've tried now to export the file of the track but there is not the rfactor format, there are only GTR2, GT legends and Race 07, also it s necessary to own one of this game to let the conversion work good? Rolling Eyes

It's not needed to own those sims too. You just need to have an intermediate format. With 3dsimEd you can load from this intermediate format and then export it in 3dmax, so there is no need at all of the other sim. You will try it directly on nKPRO once you finish the conversion.

    Good luck

ok i finally imported it in 3D studio max using 3DSimEd, whit this program i ve found 2 options:
-i open the track file saved in .3ds format (it s the original file of 3D studio max i think) but all the colors are disappeared using this last one, is it normal or not?
    - i try to open the track file in 3ds max whit the GMT script the program say's that i ve not extract the hardware shaders in the right folder, and also say that it's unable to find the material showing we this evidenced text ''mat=meditMaterials[1].materialList[newMatID]=gMotorMaterial()'' Question , this happen only when i try to open the rFactor format Sad

update: watching all the sphere of the materials the ''matte/shadow'' have not got any sphere

Did you save your project in Max, reload it then specify the texture folder (as the simple conversion thread states)?

yes i have done it but the models opened with the -3ds file are grey, if i try to open the file in 3factor format it does not work.
What version of 3Dstudio max are you using? I will search for a demo of your version and will try with it

I have 2010 (32bit) on my laptop & just downloaded 2012 (64bit) the other day for my PC. The ver. isn't that important (10/11/12 all seem v.similar). Try going to Views > Show Materials in Viewport As > Standard Display with Maps then clicking on the viewport (so the bottom right one unless you already have it maximised then click that). See if the textures appear now. In 2012 it's called something different, but it's still the second one down when you go to > Show Materials in Viewport As.

Do you need a 32 or 64bit ver? I uploaded 2010 32bit for someone else a while ago & still have the download links. If you need a 64bit ver. it's probably best to get it from the Autodesk site.

EDIT: just re-read your original post, I don't think a different ver. of Max will make any difference, do you want to upload your project?

I think all 2012 downloads are via the Autodesk site, here's 2010:
    http://www.mediafire.com/file/0vck9d39tfp6371/Autodesk_3ds_Max.part01.exe

    http://www.mediafire.com/file/6gzla6lz268qouy/Autodesk_3ds_Max.part06.rar
    http://www.mediafire.com/file/bxg6dsnl7osn8t8/Autodesk_3ds_Max.part07.rar

    http://www.mediafire.com/file/55lck256pdpdosp/Autodesk_3ds_Max.part10.rar

Probably best if you upload the rFactor track (exported from Bob's track builder) & the textures.

I tried loading those two rF exports & they both seemed to just be the model, so I loaded your BTB project & re-exported the track. 3dSimEd messed up the naming of some of the textures (so I had to manually change them). I've uploaded the Max file + textures (saved in the 2010 format), the rFactor track (I had a quick drive Smile) & the .3ds export from 3dSimEd (if you wunna import it into 3ds Max yourself): http://www.gamefront.com/files/20861756/fanosestola.7z

It was quite fun (in rFactor), the only problem I saw was where the road rises:
    Aiuto sull'importazione - Help about import Grab_010
Before exporting & importing in KOF you need to detach, I would have done so but was working on my laptop which isn't powerful enough (although if you have issues I can on my PC), & rename.
