    Track holes Empty Track holes

Post by M Carey Mon May 10, 2010 10:45 pm

Sorry to be a pain, but does anyone know of any tutorials for fixing them, preferably with 3ds Max 2010 (although the version isn‘t that important)?

which kind of holes are you speaking about?
1)holes in a track due to wrong naming convention used for the object. For example if it's mispelled. valid: 01Road01. not valid: 01road01 or 01ROAD01. When you will go with you car on those object you will fall into a hole (you will start flying Smile or you will be sent straight to the box)

    2) disallignment between surfaces that creates a visible hole in the track.
I'm not the right person to reply to this, but as far as I know you can edit the vertex of your object and using the magnet icon you can position them on a vertex of another object. in this way you can close the hole.
I hope some of the more expert 3d modelers could help you on this.

come si mettono a posto i buchi. credo che il problema sia su un disallineamento tra due superfici. come le unisci?

Thanks for the responses, I tried the instructions at the bottom of the link, and it seems to fix some of the holes (the problem’s the latter by the way) but not the big ones in terms of length and width.
    Here are some screenshots:

This is a gap where it worked.

This is a gap where it didn’t.
