Re: 17 Feb 2011: Osella Magny Cours
Andrea, what about the server stability? In yesterday training I couldn't do more than 5 laps in multiplayer, then my nkpro crashed....I'm using windows Vista...will any fix be released today? Is there something I can do?
My same problem is faced by the most of the people I guess....
Thanks a lot for your help

Re: 17 Feb 2011: Osella Magny Cours
The server itself it's stable. The problem is on clients. there is a temporary fix only for win7 users, for now.
Hopefully Kunos will fix it soon.

...ragazzi io mi sono registrato al Team, ma non mi da la possibilita di registrarmi all'evento!
E' normale? Devo aspettare di essere "accettato" nel Team prima?
Oppure, sbaglio qualcosa?
PS: help me please!

Re: 17 Feb 2011: Osella Magny Cours
How do you (fast) guys set up your car, maybe someone can post or PM me a setup to see.. ?
I don't get under 1:39 min. hotlaps (with 8l fuel) :\, want to get a little bit faster.. .
-Setting up the downforce-balance is a bit 'difficult', because the Osella has no front wing to adjust, so I have to work with the rear ride high to get the balance right when I want to use more of rear wing -for example
(but setting the car at 114mm rear ride high for a value of 17 rear-wing is not very stable then at the rear
..).

Same here, if I brake hard the rear steps out, if I take any decent speed into a corner (fast or slow) the rear steps out. Maybe it just isn't my kinda car

I miss this part: where or what should I do to apply this fix?

Right click > Properties on netKar PRO_NT.exe (in your c:\nkpro13 folder), click compatibility, then Run this program in compatibility mode for: Windows Vista (Service Pack 2) and under settings disable visual themes & desktop composition.

Thanks M Carey. I thought that the problem was related to nks.exe, not the loader. Will try today, hope it works.

Re: 17 Feb 2011: Osella Magny Cours
It's pretty clear you haven't ever seen those guys driving!
There is absolutely no need to have unti-cut barriers if you know who are you racing with.
If I cut a corner by mistake during a race, for example, I give road to my opponent, or in any case I lift off, so that I will not take any advantage from that. I think the most of the drivers here do the same.

Re: 17 Feb 2011: Osella Magny Cours
This version is a straight conversion from GTR2.Can you please explain a bit more what you mean? Is anything missing?
Unfortunately, at least for now, nK doesn't provide any automatic way to check cut. It's up to the user to respect our no corner-cutting rules

Re: 17 Feb 2011: Osella Magny Cours
According to these rules, the green extension on the first and second chicanes make the kerb part of the track? If so, it is possible to shave some time there, passing only with outside wheels over the kerbs on second turn... this makes those chicanes a lot more flat and easier.
In races, I always try to respect the kerbs like being the absolute limit of the track, ignoring extensions. I think extensions are just an "emergency escape area", not to be used in normal racing conditions, aren't they?
EDIT: by "emergency escape area" I mean some space where you can pass when battling for positions "dividing" the curve or chicane with another competitor to avoid accidents.

Re: 17 Feb 2011: Osella Magny Cours
Those has to be considered limit cases. Normally you should aim for he normal line between kerbs.
Those rules are there to have a unique way to distinguish between a correct and incorrect behavior.
