Anti-Cheat
I'm curios to know if there's any type of anti-cheat in Netkar? It seems like there's nothing to stop people from modding tracks or anything else. This would be ironic as it's sole purpose is to be raced online. There are a few server tools for rFactor but nothing comes up for Netkar. Does the simple rFactor style"mismatch" even exist for Netkar?

Re: Anti-Cheat
sadly not atm..... there is nothing to prevent people to cheat, btw i'm pretty sure that almost all the drivers here are clean, because netkar is a sim that attract only few types of drivers and usually they are more mature than the drivers that use other, more commercial, simulators and that prevent a lot the presences of cheaters on the servers......another thing is that the comunity is not so big and usually fast drivers has always the same name, and usually if you ask them some help they will help you to improve your time with some tricks on the setups or driving style!!

Re: Anti-Cheat
Let's be totally clear, I'm not accusing anyone of cheating. But it is fair to ask if there's anything in place. I'm spending a lot of time practicing and wanting to improve in this game, and yeah I'm also pretty sure it would be wack to want to cheat in such a small community. But the fact of the matter is the community is growing every day. The other day I counted more servers online than the Race series. So this will become more and more an issue I'm sure.

Re: Anti-Cheat
probably you are right about that, more the comunity is growing and more there is the danger that comes also cheaters........ but the only way in netkar for not be worried about it, is to join leagues where there is a more control on the drivers.......... the real problem is that atm there isn't any system that can prevent those things, and also in other games the story is the same, for every anti-hack, people find always a new hack

Re: Anti-Cheat
I haven't seen any cheaters around but if someone wants to cheat they will cheat. I wouldn't worry about it too much. It's not like losing a race to a cheater is going to cost you sponsorship money.

you can feel comfortable, there is no way to cheat with the change in sound.
changes to the sounds I made several, but it is just change the hue and add some effects to make more real the engine!
the rest do not know if there is any cheating, but his sprouts are generally
then these hackers get tired and if they go by the community

Re: Anti-Cheat
Attilio, I'm not sure I know what you mean about the your sound mod, but I'll trust you on that one
Steve, money is not the only reason people cheat, there's this other little thing called "ego".
But as you've all hinted to already it really doesn't matter if you're having fun.
It has to be said though, the fact that there's not even the minimal deterrent present in Netkar is a little bit ridiculous. And yeah, all games are susceptible to cheating, but there's no need to make it overly easy to do so.
Anyway, I'm not worried about it! It was just a question!
