14 July 2011: Silverstone

Here is the schedule:
21:00 (GTM+1) Briefing in our Chat
Qualification: 20 minutes. No restriction on the amount of laps
Warmup: 5 min (waiting time before the race session)
Race 1: 34 laps

Full Mode will NOT be used.

To avoid some more problem we will not use Full Mode for this race.
You will be allowed to do whatever you want. In case of damage on your car you can press ESC, fix it and continue, even during the race.

We expect anyone to drive carefully anyway, avoiding problems.

Real weather will be used:

Two servers are online.

RAIN (50%) without rank

unfortunately i had a pretty nasty football accident last night which resulted in me spending 3 hours in the hospital today having my left foot x-rayed to see if i had fractured or broken the bone. fortunately that wasnt the case but i have damaged my soft tissue and ligaments quite badly, meaning i cant put any pressure on my foot at all. i dont know if ill be able to race on thursday - hopefully it will heal enough to be able to press the pedals but it wont be for another 1/2 weeks before i can walk on it properly. lets wait and see :/

la mia gara e nata male già dalle qualifiche 14° poi in gara al 5° giro mi sono toccato con Andrea e mi dispiace perchè tutto e nato da un rientro in pista di Dawson, in quella situazione ho perso le linee e i punti di staccata mi spiace e mi assumo tutta la responsabilità della toccata con Andrea a cui faccio le mie scuse più sincere per l'accaduto. da li in avanti la mia anonima gara andava avanti solo grazie alla mia voglia di terminare

this was a very hard race for me, both physically and virtually. I knew going into this event that Gek would win. he seemed so fast in quali and during the practise races on the server, i knew i had no chance.

quali went as expected - gek on pole and me doing something around my PB time. it was nice to see vanore back racing with us and some of the midfield making their way forward. my foot actually "twinged" twice during this session which made me quite unsteady but by the time the race started it had settled down.

i had a pretty bad start to the race. vanore jumped me into t1 and i was under attack from Piers and grippa heading into the fast complex, but managed to keep hold of p3 for the first lap. i managed to catch vanore but got stuck behind him for a few laps which allowed Gek to storm ahead. (very nice battle vanore!) i managed to pass him on lap 4/5 and started making my way towards gek. however, after 6 or 7 laps i started to struggle as i had pushed my tyres too hard too early. unfortuntely on lap 8 gek had some bad traffic who wouldnt move out of the way, which allowed me to catch up. this guy was also a pain as he made it very difficult for me to pass. please, use your mirrors guys!

i was quite suprised to see gek pit on lap 10 or so. maybe he had a problem? this allowed me to push ahead and by the time i did my only pitstop, i was 15 seconds ahead. that gap grew to 26 seconds by the end of the race. congrats to gek and vanore for a magnificent battle!

alla fin un buon risultato per me , anche se probabilmente sarebbe potuto essere anche meglio. qualifica buona con la pole position, poi la partenza senza problemi, e primi giri molto regolari. poi il primo doppiato davide , non ha favorito il sorpasso (come dovrebbe),e purtroppo sono uscito nell'erba perdendo il vantaggio che avevo accumulato fino a quel momento su mika, poi ho ripreso il mio passo fino ad incontrare un altro doppiato , matt , il quale non mi ha dato spazio per il sorpasso e successivamente mi ha colpito sulla sospensione anteriore obbligandomi ad andare ai box per riparare la macchina.con molta benzina e gomme da preservare fino alla fine, arrivare in seconda posizione è stato sicuramente un ottimo risultato. mille compliementi a mika per la bellissima vittoria considerato che era infortunato ad una gamba, e una richiesta di maggiore attenzione ai doppiati nel lasciare spazio ai piloti che per vari motivi hanno un giro di vantaggio. Mi è sembrato di capire che lacuni hanno avuto dei problemi con le bandiere blue , e questo in parte spiega il motivo di tutti questi problemi.

after all a good result for me, although it probably would have been even better. good status with the pole, then start without problems, and the first few laps very smooth. first then the dubbed David, did not favor the pass (as it should), and unfortunately are losing out in the grass the advantage that I had accumulated up to that moment of mika, then I picked up my pace to meet another dubbed, matt , which gave me no room for overtaking and then hit me on the front suspension, forcing me to go to the pits to repair the macchina.con lot of fuel and tires to be preserved until the end, arriving in second place was definitely a good result . mika compliementi to one thousand for the great win considering it was injured in the leg, and a call for more attention to make room for the lapped drivers for various reasons, have a lap ahead. I seemed to understand that gaps have had problems with blue flags, and this partly explains the reason for all these problems.

A fun race for me with a good result. I'd put a bit of time into practice and setup development over the last week or so which seemed to be paying off with a reasonable position on the rank. I managed a better Qualifying than Valencia, where I was a second off my pb, instead putting in my pb at Silverstone and breaking into 1:23's (only just) which was my target. I then made some last minute adjustments, raising rear tyre pressure to try and avoid overheating; in retrospect I think that was a mistake.

The last two races have seen me being rear ended in the first corner so I was happy to avoid any replay of that. I made a cautious start and fl raspa got the jump on me, pushing me back to 6th. G Graziano was pushing me from 7th as I set off after FR. A mistake by him in Beckets on lap 3 saw the three of us go side by side under the bridge down to Stowe, I got the position and Graziano took 5th and continued to pile on the pressure for three laps before I yielded on lap 6 to the pass on the start/finish straight. After that, I tried to keep in touch gradually slipping back before I pitted around lap 20. On lap 25 Graziano pitted and exited just behind me, putting me back in 4th. My last minute tyre adjustments were keeping the temps down but also keeping them below optimum and I wasn't achieving the mid 1:25's I'd targeted as race pace. I was keeping him in sight until Mika cruised up behind and I seemed to lose a lot of time letting him pass - although looking at the replay I'm not sure how. That was pretty much it, I kept the car on the road and picked up 5th - a good result for me in group A.

Thanks to Mika and Gek who have both given me some valuable insight into KS2 car setups over the last few weeks and to everyone else for an enjoyable race.

I took the tightest possible line through the corner but you just turned in anyway. I can't make my car disappear so there wasn't really much else I could do...

really great race for me.... pushing pushing whit a fantastic set of Gek....avoid 1.24 ,1.25 lapping and no error on road..only a big mistake for petrol. ..I count 10 laps less.... don t know why but I was put 14 lap pit+10 lap hehehehehehe missing some...... ....soo 2 pit stop.

Non mi sembra il modo migliore per favorire il sorpasso a chi è in testa alla gara, inoltre guardando il tuo replay è evidente che allunghi la frenata al limite , la barra del freno e accelleratore a sinistra lo dimostrano. in tutti i casi non volevo fare polemica , ho solo raccontato cosa è successo. la prossima volta che capiterà sapro che dovra essere un vero sorpasso e che non ci sara nessun aiuto nell'eseguire la manovra.
I do not think the best way to encourage overtaking those who are leading the race, watching your replay is also evident that stretch to the limit braking, the brake and accelerator bar on the left the show. in all cases did not want to debate, I have only told what happened. the next time you'll know you must be a real overtaking and that there will be no help in executing the maneuver.

caro F.Gek solo oggi ho visto ciò che hai scritto riguardo la gara di silverstone, io ti dico che non ho avuto bandiere blu e solo quando ti ho riconosciuto dal colore della skin ho cercato di farti passare mi spiace che tu abbia sbagliato poi succesivamente, non ho mai cercato di ostacolare chi era più veloce di me.
ti chiedo scusa per quanto successo spero che nella prossima gara di riscire a non essere di ostacolo per te e per mika
