It's just 10 sec. slower as a Lotus 49 or even BMX M3 GT2 at Monza historic.

Someone at RD forum finds the Abarth's rear etc. to be too much planted to the road. Can't agree with that, it's just the general feel of the physics & the general built of the car (it is a flat & small Formula car with bolt tires and not a road car, so no surprise it feels and is more planted to the ground) that makes the Abarth Formula feel so sticked to the road, but in fact it isn't. Once you are agressive in slow corners its rear goes sideways as well like in any other car -except more comfortable ones like BMW Z4 or KTM X-Bow and Abarth 500- pretty easy, which is some of the challenge in AC (the loose rear on throttle or a wrong/too early downshift, so: once you push over a limit).

Perhaps Formula Abarth is a bit similar to F2000 (Formula Renault) in NetKar, which has also more downforce or grip & is more easy to drive compared to a car like the F3 (FTarget).
I can tell you that the KTM x-bow physics is spot on! That car is a real beast in real life. I still remember how much the turbo pushes you when you step on the gas. It's pure fun. It's very light (795kg) and very powerful (300 hp), making an pretty good power to weight ratio (0.37 bhp/kg). This is very close to the Gallardo is 550 hp on 1380 kg (0.39bhp/kg).
On youtube you can easily find some videos in which an xbow could keep up with a porsche. Believe me, this car runs fast!

every time I turn on the ac motors, I shudder with the bmw flying lotus and that we must give up the gas.
will hopefully be out soon the online mode.

not being an engineer cars, much less a driver does not stop defects, for me is perfect.

quanti FPS si dovrebbe avere per una ottima fluidità ? io ho solo 60pfs ed e' un casino perché è lento, ne ho avuto la conferma guardando il tuo video Sad

Rispondo a Luca.

What I miss is a digital fuel meter for (all) cars, now there is only the 'analogue' fuel-meter, to be found in the "basic"-app, or did I miss it soemwhere ?
I did not try out everything (clicking on the LCD of some cockpits for exapmle to maybe get that information) so far, so maybe I just missed it.

I suggest to eveybody to drive F458 first with street tyres...so funny driving::dribble::

Hey guys, anyone found some nice settings for the G27 wheel? I'm not happy with the feeling I'm getting at the mo.
Loving AC , just can't wait for MP.
I assume that the damage model will be coming in the next few updates!
Favorite car at the mo is the BMW M3 GT2

As we all know what we call "sense of speed" is actually two things. The first is the perceived audio/visual data that our eyes and ears push into our brain and the second is the feel of the forces, be it acceleration or deceleration which we can feel even if we float in space and nothing touches us, but in planet earth and on our desks more specifically, it is expanded on the objects/matter we interact with as extra forces. Smile
I think Kunos did a fantastic job on making the audio/visual part right and I really like the force feedback on my Black Momo wheel. (By the way, I was shocked on how bad it was on default settings, tried to lower the FF gain and it was not that good either and then I found a sweet spot that made it a different game. It was like in the other settings everything was wrong and was not just the gain I was tweaking. Also I like the game so much and feel the potential of it, that I am looking for a new wheel!)
So, back to the subject Smile,I would do the same thing as Kunos did if I were to make a game, establish reality first and then tweak it to include the "simulation" of the senses with tricks like moving the camera around, or zooming in and out on acceleration changes or including extra forces on the wheel or even change the handling of the cars. I believe it will happen on Assetto Corsa too but I am happy as it is now already!!
I also tried my other games LFS, Rfactor 1(BMW F1 still feels great!), GTR2(Still great fun!), Race07, NetkarPro(wow, it feels strange now!) and although after a lap or two I was enjoying myself Smile  the difference with Assetto Corsa was very apparent. Getting back on AC was very enjoyable!! And it is not complete yet! For me it runs very good on my 3770K, GTX580, 8GB RAM Windows 7 PC, which is a not too fast not too slow PC, so I had to lower some settings that visually did not make such an impact and I am getting constant 75fps.
Sorry for the big post!! I am happy Smile
Now I am waiting for the NetCode to be good and the AI to be decent...::rischio::

Hmm, I always wonder why people with sometimes much better GPUs and else than I use get only 100 FPS or below.
I get 120-150 FPS with a GTX 560ti, so I assume I might have my whole PC set up better, than some other.
But I fear FPS will get less with a full grid (maybe on that matter a GPU with more shader cores than mine will be better), hope it will be stable
with no extraordinary 'down-peaks' in multiplayer then.
For me ~100 FPS is the minimum I want to use in Simulations, because below that value every Sim starts to be not totally fluend anymore.

I also had 100+, even 300+ fps to some games, but some features did not "kick" in as they were supposed to do so. Even if I had everything maxed out and got crazy fps, the truth was that either my anti-aliasing was completely turned off or anisotropic too and other features. I then lowered my settings and I actually got a much better looking game and worse fps. Then I found a little program that forced my nvidia features on the games that I had the problem with and I started seeing new graphics (totally better!) and new fps's of course.  Nvidia kind of fixed the most profound problems for me and I have uninstalled that utility now. Also some very expensive gpus are not that better in low resolutions but they shine on higher resolutions. I can run AC on 100+ fps by just lowering the Anisotropic settings to 8x, actually I did it on AC Tech Demo but now the pre-release runs smoothly for me to make the 75 fps feel great! That was not the case with the Tech Demo.
Look at these settings of a user, he posted them in the official forums of AC:

new PC title in development at Kunos Simulazioni: Assetto Corsa - Page 25 Tlj1

You can find the original post here http://www.assettocorsa.net/forum/index.php?threads/why-such-an-so-extreme-hardware-claim.1507/page-3 . (I do not know if I can post external links)
With exactly the same settings, plus I have enabled World details that he has disabled, I get 80+ fps. He has 2 EVGA GTX-560Ti Superclocked and gets 103+ fps. Same resolution. So I believe you may be affected by the same problems I have described.
    Hope that helped!

Y, I think lowering Shadow resolution to low / very low helps quite much to increase FPS (as it was the case in the Tech Preview at least), as well as HDR off, using Motion Blur only as a gimmick for replays but not -leave it off- when driving, ... .
