Eighth and last race of the Open Wheel Series: Prato on Ftarget.

Here is the schedule:
Prequalification
drivers from 1 to 15 in group A
drivers from 16 to 30 in group B

Qualification: 15 minutes. No restriction on the amount of laps
Warmup: 5 min (waiting time before the race session)

We decided to substitute Hungaroring with Prato, since Hungaroring, has an issue with the pitlane, that is not possible to fix unless you have the 3d. I sent a PM to Gary sometime ago but I got no answer back. Does anyone has his contacts?

The same issue is in Istambul as well, and that caused Mario Gilles to loose one lap every time he stopped in the pit, and loosing his 3rd place for that. We want to avoid this to happen again.

Hmm, at Hungaroring there is this issue for sure, but in Instanbul everytime driving through the pitlane the inlap was stopped correctly (around 1:38.0 - 1:42.0 min. or so the lap takes then), so I don't think
Instanbul has such issue (or do I have another version of the track ?). -I stopped many times in the race and also during practice, taking fresh tires, fixing car and so on and I did not loose any inlap, inlap-time was stopped correctly also in the pitlane. Take a look into the lapchart: I'm doing pitstops at lap 28 to 29 or lap 39 to 40 (last stop before my very last laps) for example (that was the reson of the quick fl 1:32.x lap at the end, just because of fresh tires ), in lap and outlap are always stopped corretly, just one pit was done as I pressed ESC during the end of a not planned inlap after kissing the wall, so the normal -1 lap there.

Marco, I can assure that the problem is there. Mario that lost a lot of positions in the official race because of that problem(ending up at -3 Laps), so he spent some time investigating on it, opening the kto.
The pitlane is named incorrectly, so depending on which box position you have, you will have issues or not..

Ok, my pit pos. was behind the line, so I had less problems. But with my logic it should also work if you have a pit pos. before the line as long as there is a finish line in the box and in Istanbul there is one as you can see, you just never should press Esc->back to pits even when standing right in your box. Maybe he did some kind of that thing.
I made such a mistake in a race before (with Gallardo I think, don't remember which one, I wrote about it in the thread), I pressed ESC-back to pits at my box position to change setup and was of course -1 lap behind then, because the lane had not been crossed so far in the pits, because pit pos. was behind it.

Non è stato l'unico ! Io ho fatto 3 pit ( uno per errore mio che sono dovuto rientrare subito ) ed ho finito a -6 Laps !! Ed infatti non capivo come mai, visto che anche ad istanbul non ho fatto alcun errore in gara ! va bene essere lento ma non così tanto !! Non so Buranowsky ma forse ho perso anche io una posizione...

target @ prato?! mmm... con la scusa che settimana prossima sono in ferie una garetta dopo un paio di anni potrei farla... se non ho troppa ruggine da togliere ovviamente...

una oliatina agli ingranaggi del G27 non farebbe male. Ricordati di portare un bel panno per la polvere e qualcosa per togliere le ragnatele dal volante.
Se inizi da oggi, per giovedi' ce la dovresti fare. Ti aspettiamo!

il G27 è nuovo visto che ha sostituito in garanzia il G25 esploso... il problema è piuttosto l'individuo seduto appena dietro al volante che avrebbe bisogno di oliatina e panno dopo due anni passati a sessioni di pochi giri alla volta durante le varie fasi di test di diversi progetti...

I screwed, wasted my good race on pos.7-8 by just running out of fuel. Before the last one or two laps I stopped to refill a bit of fuel, because I was not sure if my fuel would have last to the end and so I lost my top 10 position on track.
Got nervous a bit about that in the last laps and made little mistakes, which lead into Naldi and Burracello, who were close behind me, gaining my position.
I filled 39 l in first and 40 l at half of the race in second stint and thought this would be highly enough (2,2 to 2,3 litres each lap I calculated), but it wasn't, would have needed 1 or 2 litres more I guess.

Also after pitting in around lap 32 I crashed with franky at t2, which cost a lot of addidional time too, -because of coming out of pits without speed I was still slow and maybe I slowed down a bit more and shifting downwards to 4th gear to just driving save through first corners, which he did not expected and I did not see him behind me before on the finish lane when exiting pits, it's a high speed passage where cars can close up very quickly to slower ones in front, so suddenly that car was there -me being slow out of pits he being fast at the normal high speed towards turn 2 -> crash.

If I would have stayed and finished at 9th pos. in that race, I would have had 272 points now, equal to Mikas amount of points, but because of him having more victories, better pos. in the races, I would stay behind him at pos.6 in the champ. table anyway I guess, -so losing that two pos. had at least no consequences on the final champ.-standing .
