Fifth race of the Radiator Springs 500 Abarth Series 2012.04: Blackwood [CANCELLED. substituted with Interlagos]

VERY IMPORTANT NOTE
We've seen 2 errors on Blackwood track that can't be easily fixed without the help of the guy that converted it. I already contacted him showing the issues.
Those issues on the track will get irregular laptimes, so we decided to use a different track for this week: Interlagos. Please refer to this topic for this week's race





Here is the schedule:
Prequalification with live timing for all the week preceding the event
drivers from 1 to 15 in group A
drivers from 16 to 30 in group B

21:00 (CET, UTC+1) Briefing in our Chat
Qualification: 20 minutes. No restriction on the amount of laps
Warmup: 5 min (waiting time before the race session)
Race 1: 10 laps
Warmup: 5 min (waiting time before the race session)
Race 2: 20 laps

For the racing day, server will be with password. You will find the password in the control center.

Let's stick to the general principle: at least 2 wheels on the kerb.

The only exception will be at T2, because there are tyre walls there, so if you cut you do it at your own risk. Please be careful there, since a crash there can create huge consequences in the first laps. It's not even too smart to risk an overtake in the chicane (T2) with a very long straight afterwards. Much simpler and safer to overtake there.

All the cases Vincent presented have to be considered off track, except the one at T2 that is tolerated. We suggest anyway to try to stick to the limits at T2 as well, to avoid taking un-necessary risks.

Would it not be better to just allow people to run wide on the exit of 5/entrance to 7?

It's the normal racing line that everyone uses in LFS and considering we aren't checking replays it might just be fairer to say that people are allowed to run there?

I agree, it simplifies everything. Otherwise, it seems right to check the replays this time.

Ok. I agree. Let's keep it simple then.
In any case we are now checking why sometimes laptimes look weird. We will see if we can find a solution, or if it's safer to change track.

Are we talking about PREQualifying or Qualifying ?
How do you want to check the laptimes from the PreQ ?

I suggest to redownload everyone the track from the same link, so we are sure to have all the same version
