Starting procedure with the KS2

I hope this can help you.
I write this because i saw in the server to many crash at the start.
During the start some guys start fast, other slow.
So i think that some people do not know wich is the best start system for the KS2.

If u want start very fast with the KS2 SURE DO NOT CHANGE YOUR TYRES 30 seconds before the race for first.

After that, here the istruction:
- push the right paddle until 3° gear and NOT release it when 3° gear is in;
- push the left paddle and NOT release (your engine now is in 2° gear);
- now your cloutch is ON

so to start simple accelerate about at 40% or 50% and when it's the time release left and right paddle. Wait some moment then push your gas at 100%.

That is the explanation about the fact that in server some guys at the start go like a JET and other like a IVECO.

now that you know how to start, remember that, to win a race, you need to arrive at the finish line first. To do this, you need to avoid troubles on the first corners also.

Remember that with 15 drivers on track, you can't drive just as you were alone on track.
On the first lap, don't try too hard. You have time to overtake the other drivers. Doing it, braking late or with dangerous moves, when the drivers are very close to each other on the first lap, very often create huge troubles.

On the first lap brake a bit earlier. If you usually brake at the 100 meters signpost, do it at 150 meters, not slamming on the brake, but slowing gently down. You will have more space to avoid possible troubles.

We all had quite a lot of training races. We should all know the kind of incident we don't want to see!
Act wisely. Having clean races and a nice championship depends on all of us.


From our rules:
Rule 5 (a.k.a. 5 corners rule): It is important to pay attention especially in the first part of the race, where all cars are close to each other. For this reason, we define per each track the “red zone”, where the 5 corners rule applies. 5 corners is just a convention. For each track the red zone might be extended till a safer zone.
The responsibility of all drivers is to avoid incidents in the first corners which can have massive consequences and therefore all participants must be careful.
Starts must be as clean and incident-free as possible. The finish line is not at the first turn. Turn 1 cannot be approached as it happens during the qualification session. The tires are cold, the car is heavy and the track crowded. Drivers must act wisely and drive safely for themselves and for the other participants, for example by:
o braking earlier than normal
o maintaining a safe distance from the other cars during the first corners
o giving enough space to other drivers with some margin for error by other participants

Any collision from behind will result in the driver behind being considered as the guilty driver, unless the car in front has lost control.
In case of accident on the “red zone” the Race Director could penalize the drivers directly.
