Wow, that's impressive.
But I think my old PC is going to struggle with that much detail, but very impressive. What a Christmas present.
Well done and thanks Kunos

Re: Osellla in rain
You have to keep in mind that in this video, the driver was not really fast. Furthermore, are you struggling on the highway very much when it rains?
EDIT: And they are still working on it.

Re: Osellla in rain
we tested an early version of the rain (the first proof of concept) some months ago. It was already very realistic and challenging to drive.
The effect on grip and handling was huge! Physics is usually one of the strongest points of Kunos's sims. I'm sure he will not let you down!

Kunos has the BEST physics out there. I don't know why anybody would ever think otherwise. Kunos is king.

Kunos is God. But in many games the rain did not have much effect on the physical.
I have really wanted to prove the Cobra.
Thank God, no more formulas. Osella and Cobra...

Re: Osellla in rain
yes of course. Rain will work on each car/track, affecting handling, and modifying automatically colour tones. You will see puddles where you have in the 3d some concave surfaces. As usual, Kunos is doing a great work, with a wonderful approach.

Re: Osellla in rain
I'm glad this news. I thought they could not make puddles and the sky in each track is not the same.Andrea Lojelo wrote:yes of course. Re: Osellla in rain
Andrea,im asking because i understand that u are an inside person from Kunos team so...
I like all these updates all these cars rain etc..But,in my opinion the only problem for me(and i think for most people) is the netcode. And not all the notcode, only the the problem when u touch or being side to side with another driver. So i want to ask if Kunos is understanding that this is the bigest problem.Or does he see its like..ok it has a problem in touches but someday i will fix it,now its more important to make updates for rain cars/tracks...Careful,im not critising him.Im just wondering how are the things in his mind, how he see nkpro...Also he is planing to make the updates of december buyable? Do we have to pay? (In my opinion he have to make them buyable.I think that the sim is very very good and i want to pay because i respect his job and of course i dont want to see it die,i want to help to see it growing!)

Re: Osellla in rain
Im all for paying for new content but there seems to be some hostility towards this.
Mind you every new update does seem to increase number slightly. Maybe Kunos should add a donate option for nkp? instead.
Like Kunos said in his interview "I think after Xmas we'll plan what to do in 2011" so we may see the end of development for Nkp1 in favour of Nkp2.

Re: Osellla in rain
Well whilst we all want him to fix bugs, what's going to sell more licences? From the comments people have been making recently, it seems some are planning to buy nKPro when the new car & rain's released. I'm hoping Kunos still plans to improve things with autoupdates in the new year though (going on what he said before about the level of rain implementation etc.)Vaggelis Theodoridis wrote:Or does he see its like..ok it has a problem in touches but someday i will fix it,now its more important to make updates for rain cars/tracks...
It depends on the model. If the sim' was free (to race online without subscription (unlike iRacing)) I'd pay for individual pieces of content, but I wouldn't want different licence tiers like LFS (unless they were properly grouped into tintops- single seaters etc.)paul thomas wrote:Im all for paying for new content but there seems to be some hostility towards this.

Well the last new formula car was an update and we didnt' have to pay. So I'm assuming this will be the same thing.

Re: Osellla in rain
I think the main focus before the end of the year is to sell new licences, to be able to breath a bit and start the new year in a better way.
Kunos is aware of the fact that the multiplayer needs to be improved, but he needs to deliver those new features before. Some time ago he committed to an amazing list of new features: 3 new cars, rain, and a new track. To be honest I never thought this was achievable in such a short time, but apparently Kunos is on the right track!
Kunos Simulazioni is a small company, and, no doubt that the future of this sim, and possible new versions depends on all of us.
Kunos said that this will be, once more a free update.
Lately this sim is really evolving a lot, and Kunos is really doing his best to get the best out of this old engine!
I think that this sim is really under rated. It costs just EUR 19,90 and in my view is one of the best sim out there (for sure the best value for money).
I think I will buy a new licence just to support the project. I feel like steeling to accept all those new upcoming contents for free . Maybe this would be a nice xmas gift for some friends also.

As a user, I'm trying to contribute to Kunos Simulazioni finances buying everything I can (I bought all tracks of FVA although I think I haven't done more than 10 laps on the last 2 circuits).paul thomas wrote:Maybe Kunos should add a donate option for nkp? instead.

Re: Osellla in rain
Andrea, Kunos talked about changing conditions througout a session. How is that going to work on Add-On-tracks? I cannot imagine the changing sky and everything. Also, can you choose your tyres or are they bound to weather? Like is it possible to drive with slicks in rain.
