But of course I belive the laptime is the real one -so no doubt, was just wondering why laptime was no time present in the vid.

Re: "The Alien" on nKPRO
Why did the creator of the video not press F4 at the end of the lap, to prove that the written laptime is real ?

Re: "The Alien" on nKPRO
The video was mostly an iracing commercial so to be honest I just take it for that. No doubt the guy has some talent but I don't take the whole thing too seriously.

Re: "The Alien" on nKPRO
anyway in iRacing is above all a goal of profitability, they are present to make money, and it works, their video (which earned me a blue screen) is primarily a marketing operation, which takes away of course not affect the quality of their drivers

Re: "The Alien" on nKPRO
I've seen a video the other day don't know if it was from Top Gear or Iracing, don't care. Iracing is way to expensive, it is self claimed "The best online racing game"
and there is no modding involved. It gives me three good reasons not to go for it. I'm quite happy here, our tracks are not lazer scanned, but they are made with passion by people of the community. We don't have a world champion what the hell.
For 15€ you can't beat it! I have found a great sim and a great community for a great price!
I could continue for hours but I guess you get the point. I don't think we have anything to envy Iracing at all!
But yes it's good to see Huttu driving a KS2, hope it get more people into NKpro!
Merry Christmas. ( dear Santa, I would like a Shelby.)

My latest grievance with iRacing’s the crap emails they keep sending out. Promotions from GoDaddy, or offers to buy iRacing dollars! I didn’t realise they started printing money

I don't think even a iracing alien can go faster if the car is scraping tarmac.
btw my pb in Suzuka is 1.37.3 and I could do 36's after some practice. FVA hotlapper specialist Krönke might do low 36's already?

Re: "The Alien" on nKPRO
I just FRAPSed a 37.28, just one try
Used my old setup btw. will try Gregers later.
Edit: Gegers set is undriveable for me. I wonder how he mangages to complete a lap without smashing the car into a wall with that set

@Martin: Very nice video!
By the way could you tell me your FOV and other "view" settings please?
It's a very immersive view I really like!
Cheers,
Olivier
P.S.: By the way Gregger setup is absolutely undrivable for me too!

Re: "The Alien" on nKPRO
regarding IRacing: I think the prices for the 'additional' content are much too high. A maximum of 5$ for a new track and also a new car would be ok, but still would be a bit high when you have to buy a lot of them.. .
In some cases 25$ just for one new track is hillarious... .

and yes! but I saw their F1, and it really has nothing to do with the current KS2, the 1.3 NetKar I wait and see what will the Osella! so disappointed, I took six months iRacing, I buy all their tracks, and I joined the Stuart Whitehead and all others! But I do not like iRacing

In no case are any tracks $25
Tracks are maximum of $14.99 and quite frankly they are worth every penny. I would happily pay that (the price of three pints of beer!) for laser scanned tracks with the quality of textures iRacing have if they were available for netKar Pro

Re: "The Alien" on nKPRO
I think some used to cost that much. I'd pay the same for tracks in nKPro, assuming there was no subscription model, and the possibility of having the plug pulled at anytime (as with iRacing).Stuart Whitehead wrote:In no case are any tracks $25

lol...I'd rather have the beer! I will not dish out money for a "pay to play" service. If I can't buy it I don't want it. I'm actually embarrased to say I have even tried iracing to be honest but I didn't know you do not own the content until actually subscribing. At least now I know though. John Henry has billions of dollars and he won't see another dime from me....lol.

As M Carey said some of them are indeed such expensive (25$).
Nevertheless I have to admit I joned IRacing two days ago though I don't really have the money to buy that much of additional content..., but at least I just had to try this sim also, I could not resist to test it out ... .
I subscribed for one year (I chose the package were the FW31 + two additional tracks are still included).
-So, if someone would like add me as a there so called 'friend' be welcome to do so, because so far I have no 'firiends' there.
I did three races in the Mazda Roadster so far -went out not too bad... . It is quite fun, because with the sim it turns always out in close battles (for the fixed setup races).
But what I miss there is the feeling of common racing, 'cause there is no liga or something similar like here at Radiators Springs -I miss a bit this common 'liga-feeling' there.
Mainly in iRacing you are drivng quite 'all alone' just against thousands of other people.. .
But it is also ok anyway, because the driving is great (it feels maybe a bit more real than NKPro). Cars look really great and are all fine detailed and sharp (realistic), tracks are well done: nice sharp textures no such sort of 'unrealistic' effect-stuff of any kind.., sunshine in the cockpit and so on . Overall it might be also a bit less frustrating, because the cars are a bit more reliable and controlable, but I don't know if the physics are better in absolutely any situation:
I guess when it comes to losing a F1 car on a curb (like Mika Hakkinen 1999, Lewis Hamilton 2009 in Monza or Mark Webber in the rain of the Korea-race) when on throttle then maybe NKPro does a better job... .

Nope.. No tracks are more than $14.99. Check the price list They stopped charging $25 for tracks at least 18 months ago.

There are loads of private leagues. Many other sim communities run leagues. I know lots of people who hardly ever run official iRacing series, they only run in private leagues.
Anyway, nice to hear you signed up and I hope you enjoy iRacing. The overall package is unbeatable, though nKPro is still has a little better physics imo, though when the new tyre model arrives at iracing i get the feeling it will be just as good.

You are right, maybe I should look around one day a bit to find and learn more about some private iR leagues. If you have any suggestions then could you maybe post some league-links.. (or better via pm) ?

That's exactly what I like about nKPro & dislike about iRacing. iR seems to flatter, when nKP punishes errors.M Waechter wrote:I guess when it comes to losing a F1 car on a curb (like Mika Hakkinen 1999, Lewis Hamilton 2009 in Monza or Mark Webber in the rain of the Korea-race) when on throttle then maybe NKPro does a better job... .

Re: "The Alien" on nKPRO
I hope the new Ir tyre model improves the feel of Ir cause netkar 1.2 has ruined Ir for me.
My sub ends in feb so Ill give Ir another go after the nxt build but wont renew my sub until after the next build after that since the new tyre model will only be for the oval side.
