jump2nkp - connect netKar PRO to server by simple web link

What is jump2nkp?

jump2nkp is a little program, which allows you to launch netKar PRO simulation and automatically connect it to server through special web links.

How to use it?

Step 1: Download and put file jump2nkp.exe into your netKar PRO installation directory.

Step 2: Launch the program once to make Windows use jump2nkp links.

Step 3: Click at examples below and your netKar PRO will launch and connect to server. Simple?

How do you can use jump2nkp links at your league site?

It's very easy to create jump2nkp links. All you need to know - your netKar PRO server IP address and its port number.

Usual link looks like:

I'm glad to make netKar expirience a bit easier

So far things to do:

- netKar PRO 1.3 version compatibility (when it will out) done!
- license check (simple warning message when you connect to server with licensed content while you are demo racer) done!
- third type of links like (Thanks to Juha Pyy for his help!):

- implement option to download and install track that you don't have it (but there is a complication with SimBin's tracks) I think, it's better to keep this thingy simple
- write a code which will not make me cry hm, almost done

Hi, I'm not 100% sure this is the cause, but I think from the moment I installed this tool, my netKar GUI login screen starts up with a huge delay (20 seconds) from the moment I click on netKar PRO_NT.exe

It might even be this is completely unrelated to this tool, but I don't recall I've modified anything else.

Does it happen to anyone else? any ideas?

jump2nkp changes only with two files in "...\My Documetns\netKar PRO\cfg\" - mps.dat and lg.

But they doesn't have influence at netKar itself.

Andrea, do you have Windows 7? Because I have 8 sec delay in gui start with it.

If you want to completely uninstall it just run it and it's all. Also you may delete changed mps.dat and lg file if you wish

I had this delay 'problem' too several month ago as I had installed NKPro on my Win7 partition, so it seems to be normal under Win7.
->But nowadys after much more Windows7 updates (service pack1 and everything else available due to the automatic Win7 updater..) and framework 4.0, C++ 2010, ... this issue seems to be gone, no more delay.

Hm, after installing SP1 for Windows 7 netKar PRO is starting almost instantly

A bit more offtopic: I've found the reason of hanging NKP at startup with Windows 7. In my case the reason is Virtualbox (or any other virtual machine which creates another network interface).

Seems that at startup NKP sends some info to master server and waits for an answer from all available network interfaces.

SripleTix - seems you have wrong association with "netKar PRO_NT.exe" file instead of "jump2nkp.exe". Please change this options in your browser settings. Here is example of these settings in Firefox:
