Hi there. I noticed that the rev lights seem to come in quite early in the rev range so I'm guessing that if I were to use them for reference and shifted up at the last light, I'd be losing speed because I'm not maximising the power band so can anyone suggest what are the perfect shift points? (in RPM). Thank you.

In what car? With the F2000 for example, AKP (GPC 2010 champ') recommends modifying the aim file to:
RPM1=6500
RPM2=6600
RPM3=6700
RPM4=6800
RPM5=6900
then shifting when the LED's start to flash.
RPM1=6500
RPM2=6600
RPM3=6700
RPM4=6800
RPM5=6900
then shifting when the LED's start to flash.

Thanks
. I'll set my F2000 to those values. Would you know where I could find suggestions for the other cars?

There were values for FTarget somewhere in this forum but I don't remember where. Anyway, I post them here:
RPM1=6400
RPM2=6500
RPM3=6600
RPM4=6700
RPM5=6800
RPM1=6400
RPM2=6500
RPM3=6600
RPM4=6700
RPM5=6800
