Re: Considering New Monaco
I'm afraid it's there's still a lot of work to do, so unfortunately no chance of getting it ready for this weeks race.
But here's a vid to show how it's going.

Re: Considering New Monaco
ive just done a few laps with the current monaco and have to say, the track isnt even drivable with the ks2. its just too narrow and the lock on the car isnt good enough to get round the tight left hander and the last sector. what are we going to do?
EDIT - the race is next week btw

Re: Considering New Monaco
If the current Monaco is considered unusable, and people agree to it, then I suppose there might be a slim possibility of a very limited beta being made available just for the championship event. It really depends how much I can get done and how quickly.
Things that need doing (in rough order of priority)
Entire track needs naming, all road, wall, pit and run off objects.
Start lights
Marshalls
Track decals (not a priority, apart from of course start boxes/pit boxes)
Camera set
Shadows (low priority-eye candy)
Various snagging, track holes, texture clean ups, flickering issues etc.
So really the main job to get the track usable is naming, which I will begin tonight. I'll let you know how I get on.

Re: Considering New Monaco
so long as the asphalt is actually drivable, im pretty confident we can make a race there without marshalls, decals, trees / buildings etc. the rest is pretty much eye candy as you say ive seen the video and it looks much better! i hope you can come up with something within the next 7 days

Thank you for the updated monaco, Gary Levy.
Altough I can't find the link to your new version anywhere. Where can we download this beta?

Re: Considering New Monaco
Thank you for your work!
But I found 2 big problems:
- the track is way too large! Monaco is a narrow track
- Where is the bump at the exit of the casino corner... in the downhill between Casino and Mirabeau?
But as I said, it's a great work!!

Re: Considering New Monaco
Gary,
Any chance we will see a release for this? Your work on other tracks has been much appreciated and I'm sure many are anxious to give a proper version of Monaco a go.
Thanks

Re: Considering New Monaco
Probably get round to it sometime in the next few weeks, currently working on a nice shiny new version of Brands Hatch, complete with GP and Indy circuits.
