Now I have big, huge, enormous probs with the Laguna track Shocked
I,ve DL the track and fix from downloads.
After installing it, I tried to test it, didn't see it in the game???
Then I decided to do few laps on some other track, that either didn't work out...track wouldn't load.
Ok, deleted the Laguna folder, tried again other track, loaded, got into pits, but can't do anything nothing opens, pressed esc to exit, esc doesn't work???
    Nothing happens.

I remember that there was a problem with the installer of this track. I was installing the track in a wrong folder.
Check where it is installed (maybe you will find laguna seca in the nk installation folder) and move it under {nk folder}\track

One small request. can you please change your username using your Name Surname?
you can do it from the profile

Hmmm, now it looks like my Nk stopped working, doesn't load any track nomore ::mad::
Can't understand WHY there's no info, if the track installing is different from normal procedure.
Looks like I gotto make a new game installation, or maybe then not... think I'm gonna let it collect dust for few years or eternity.

As for my username, ain't gonna change anything.
It has been acceptable everywhere else, if that's not OK, you can always delete my account.

I just tried the link to download laguna from the add on tracker, and the file that comes up for download is an nkpro12patch.exe. That doesnt sound right to me..

the file appears to just be a version 1.2 patch for the laguna seca track, but not the track itself.

Tonight we will try a new procedure for joining the servers.

We think that one of the possible cause of the CTD is that someone try to connect to our servers while we are racing creating problems to the drivers inside.

For this reason we decided not to show the server in the list during our race.

    This will be the procedure:
    1) At the end of the briefing we will announce to JOIN THE SERVER
    2) the server will be, as usual, listed in the server list
    3) We will wait for everyone to join for a maximum of 5 minutes.
    4) We will shut down the server
    5) All drivers should go to chat
    6) We will start up the servers once more and we will announce to JOIN THE SERVER
    7) clicking on your {netkar folder}\nks.exe you will be able to join the server. This is the only way of joining the server, since it will not be listed in the server list.

05 May 2011: Laguna Seca Nksv

    NOTE:
it's important to be on chat in time, otherwise you will not be able to join the server later on.
tomorrow we will have a shorter briefing. Please join our chat in time (21:00).

05 May 2011: Laguna Seca Empty sfogo costruttivo

Post by Marcello Gabrielli Thu May 05, 2011 11:04 pm

    - server up -> ci siamo connessi in 7
    - dopo 1 minuto, siamo riasti io e mosca

Come me altri sono rimasti gabbati.

    ciao

Andrea, why there / you gave us no sign to the guys in chat (in the second phase before joining via nks.exe) like "and now join by double-click the nks.exe" ?
I joined chat immedeately after the first sesison was closed, but noone gave a sign when to join the final session.. .
You were suddenly gone away (already on track) and a few people were still waiting in chat for a sign to join.. / we did not know that somehow the real session had already started for some drivers... .
I joined with nks.exe just 5 mins before the qualy session was over, which was still enough to do one 'ok-lap'.

    ---
sorry for this crap in race two -groupB-:
At first I had very bad starts in both races, because the trick pressing both gear-buttons while in first gear did not work on this track well (moving car on grid), so I had to start from neutral.. which was slower than the other drivers.
After the very crowded start start in race 2, I lost the car a bit while braking to the first corner, result was that someone crashed behind me with my car.
Later on the outlap after car got repaired I lost the car in the corkscrew and drove reverse just in the moment someone passed through -> crash again, I'm very sorry for this incident 05 May 2011: Laguna Seca 271945 / should have better pressed ESC in this position on track 05 May 2011: Laguna Seca 795413 .

In group B, first race was great and the first 4 finished very close, but the second with the pitstop's in this track just became a trap for some of us.

With the Pit's and Box's at the same place, even if don't to repair the car, when you stop it just start to repair it.

I had a very small touch with the front of the car in the wall, the still car runs fine, but it was repair as an suspension fix, not very real, impossible to have an suspension trouble with that kind of touch, lost almost 5 min with that repair.

Thanks to the RSR staff for all their work and all who join.

Maybe some did not had installed the new pit-box update Andrea posted before, so everyone had different pit-boxes and some were at the same place because of this.., don't know Rolling Eyes .
regarding second point: You can switch off "automatic pit-box operations" in NetKar's options, doing that the car does also not get repaired automatically anymore !

Yes, this should be the way to go, but most of times we are in no Full mode, so for that way it's fine. Thanks for the advice.

    ciao
    Marcello

Grazie!

Ok, then I will draw back my criticism Wink. But strange that me (and others too) did not see that message, I think you might have not waited long enough for the guys like me in server B coming back to the chat (seems they were a few moments later in chat again than others out of groupA I think). As the guys out of server B joined the chat you had already finished the explanations (I think so, not sure of course about this assumption).

In groupe B at the first qualify min were just 3 of us in the server, all we find that strange, didn't see why people don't join soon, message was clear.
I and Marco exit the server and go back to the chat asking if it was something wrong, but in the meanwhile, others arrive.

I confirm, we were sure that the procedure were exact but just only 3 of us. Moments of panic confused
