Welcome to the fifth race of the All Round Series: Zandvoort



Zandvoort track is for internal use only. Please don't share this track with anyone not in the All Round Series.

The plan is to have our first public release of the track after our official race. We will use those days to keep improving the track and to fix bugs that might arise during our tests before the race. There is already a detailed list of mismatch with the real track and we will go through it in the coming days. Further track updates are to follow.

You will find the track in the control center. The package is passworded. You will find in the control center all informations needed.

I would like to thank Gek for the great work on the track. It has been a great pleasure for me to see my favourite track landing in nKPRO.
After months of experiments and improvements, the track is now pretty accurate. There are still things to fix, and we will definitely continue to work on it.
Thanks to the all Radiator Springs Racing Team for the great help and support, and to Maarten Steverinck and Rudy van Buren for their professional feedback.
It's always nice to hear extremely positive comments from real drivers that know that track extremely well.


Here is the schedule:
21:00 (CET) Briefing in our Chat
Qualification: 20 minutes. No restriction on the amount of laps
Warmup: 5 min (waiting time before the race session)
Race 1: 10 laps
Race 1: 25 laps

Full Mode will NOT be used.

To avoid some more problem we will not use Full Mode for this race.
You will be allowed to do whatever you want. In case of damage on your car you can press ESC, fix it and continue, even during the race.

We expect anyone to drive carefully anyway, avoiding problems.

Real weather will be used:
IT WILL BE DRY RACE (to avoid problems we had with CTD in rain conditions)

Our Zandvoort RSR server is already up, and shown in the netKar PRO Online Servers.
You can use jump3nkp to connect to it, or the usual nkpro GUI.

Our server is using our Live Timing.

So Andrea what time is 21.00 (GMT +1) for me in Germany? is it the same time?
Stupid question, I know, but I'm just wondering (because I think in germany it is GMT +2, because of summer time)...

Yes. it's 21:00 German time. I'm posting here (NL) are 12:27.

Daylight-Saving is always generating a lot of confusion!

Does Central European Time (CET) observe Daylight Saving / Summer Time?
Like most states in Europe, Summer (Daylight-Saving) Time is observed in Central European Time (CET), where the time is shifted forward by 1 hour; 2 hours ahead of Greenwich Mean Time (GMT+2).

After the Summer months the time in Central European Time (CET) is shifted back by 1 hour to Central European Time (CET) or (GMT+1)

I've checked better and since we are currently in Summer Time / Daylight Savings Time (until Sunday 30 October 2011 01:00 GMT), we are currently GMT+2, so I've done a mistake there!

Best way to do that is to write 21:00 CET, and link here for time conversion

Nice work on the Track! So far I have done about 5 or 6 laps and it feels good! So nice to be able to attack the curbs and not have my arms ripped off like at Snetterton (even though I love that track as well) lol! looking forward to the All Series event at Zandvoort.

1 quick question, So far what is the fastest laptime around Zandvoort? I have averaged about 1:37-8, but I feel like there is alot more time in the track and havent done many laps yet so still learning the bumps and corners.

Perchè io ho ancora il tempo di 1.38.8 dell'altro giorno, mentre ieri sera avevo migliorato (1.36.5 se non ricordo male).

questa sera controllero'. Dovrebbe essere attivo. Anche io ieri sera (intorno alle 20) ho migliorato e il mio tempo e' stato correttamente aggiornato.

ciao Marco, ho controllato sul server e ho notato che, per errore era partito un secondo server con Zandvoort ieri. probabilmente sei entrato nel server "sbagliato", ossia quello non collegato al sistema di hotlap. In effetti ho trovato nei log che il tuo miglior tempo sul server con l'hotlap era 1.38.8.
Putroppo ho spento il server "sbagliato" senza pensare a questa evenienza e ho quindi perso il log relativi.

Mi dispiace per il problema.

No prob, l'importante era capire cosa è successo. Non è che con i tempi che faccio ho perso un granchè anche se non me lo ha registrato

Problema mai avuto finora: mi sono allocato giorni fa per la gara di Zandvoort, ma nell'Entry List (quella da menu a tendina) non risulto allocato e ami lo sono stato.
Nella gestione allocazioni è tutto a posto. Ho provato anche a cancellare e rifare l'allocazione, a usare Explorer invece di firefox, ma niente.
Come detto, mai avuto questo problema. Evidenzio più che altro perchè magari succede anche ad altri.
Comunque c'è tempo, credevo la gara fosse dopo 15 gg da Snetterton, invece ho scoperto ieri sera che è dopo 3 settimane.

Entry List ARS (da menu a tendina)

The entry list will be all right the week of the ARS race. There is one query that is based on the next event (that is KS2 Suzuka). This is screwing things up (I hope to have time to fix it sooner or later).
Don't worry. It will be fine on Friday.

I just realized that I am on a birthday party that night, so I won't make it to the race. I hope I can make it to one of the next races! The problem is that the races are starting so late and I have to go to school the next day so I can't stay up that long... We'll see. By the way, when do the events normally finish (what time)? If it's before 23.30 then that would be on the edge, but okay.

around 22:30 (german time) is usually all finished.

At Snetterton, for example Race1 started at 21:13:00 and was 20 min qual+ 10m46.683 race. So Race 2 started at 21:57:37 and was 27m22.229.

Okay, I'll try to be there at a race after Zandvoort!
