RSR Live Timing

Hey guys, I have a bug to report.

In my system, the wsLiveTime.exe process (which gets started in the background along with the AC sim window) is maxing out one of my two cores (almost 50% cpu usage).

In turns, this makes the AC framerate extremely unstable, down to around 30FPS, and with spikes of up to 50% (unplayable).

This happens *even* if I have disabled the RSR app using the in-game GUI. In order to effectively disable the app, I have to resort to manually deleting the apps/python/rsrlivetime directory.

Still, I would like to use the app, so a bug fix for the high cpu usage would be most welcome. I don't know if I'm the only one with the problem, but if you can't reproduce the problem, I can help with debugging, just let me know what I can do.

 Similar problem to me, high cpu usage and spikes, but FPS are good. If I leave the session and return without completely closing AC, it becomes undrivible like you said.

Maybe dual core cpu is not enough?

It's unreasonable that a simple lap record uploader can use considerably more CPU than the simulator itself, even when the app is disabled :-)

Hi, welcome in our forum. We are glad you like it.

1:14? the best time so far is 01:21:969. (the first time needs to be removed...something went wrong there).
Don't worry if you can't get to those times. Those guys have always been extremely fast in any simulator.

I actually feel happy that there is such a difference , because otherwise would mean that it is not a good simulator! I should not be with the fastest drivers!  
But I enjoy trying to improve and this plug-in made it so much fun!
(But still, I am glad that the first one is a glitch! )

Hi guys, sorry if it took so long, but we've finally deleted from the AC live timing the wrong times.

We also understood the reason why this is happening: if start doing crazy things in the pitlane (donuts or similar), you might activate the start of the lap and the end of the lap, inserting a wrong values in our DB. Please be careful with it, also because in some cases you could send corrupted data that will prevent our webpages to be displayed.

Obviously we will properly fix this when the AC will be out.

Putroppo al momento siamo tutti molto impegnati nella nostra vita persona. Inoltre stiamo portando avanti molti altri progetti per AC.
Per questo motivo vogliamo chiedere il vostro aiuto. Stiamo cercando qualcuno che possa aiutarci con l'interfaccia web per il nostro live timing. Abbiamo molte idee per migliorarla, ma non abbiamo abbastanza tempo per lavorarci.
Continueremo a lavorare sulla parted i back-end (web service) e sull'app, ma abbiamo bisogno di aiuto per la parte grafica e per interagire con il Database per creare statistiche.
Se avete esperienza in sviluppo web, e volete aiutarci, per favore mandatemi un PM.

We started working on the upgrade of our App for AC Steam Early Access.
Unfortunately at the moment, the most of us have a very busy period in our personal life, and we are also working on many other projects for AC.
For this reason we would like to ask for your help. We are looking for someone that can help us out with the web interface for our Live Timing. We have a lot of idea for improvements, but not enough time to work on it.
We will keep working on the back-end part (web services) and app, but we need help for the graphical part and to interact with our DB to get statistics.

Hi guys just tried the rsr live timings but AC crashes on loading the track. Had to emoved live timings to stop the crashes. Copy and pasted folders to the ac root directory.

The App created for AC TP isn't compatible with AC SEA. We are working on the upgrade as we speak.

Hi Pascal, welcome on our forum. We removed the link since the app is not compatible with AC steam early access version. We are working on a new version of our app.

We've been quite for a while, but a lot is going on. We are working on a major update of our app, that will work with AC Steam Early Access.
The App itself will look pretty similar to the old one from the outside, but the code underneath has been hugely changed.
We wanted to have a good base for the future, so we took the decision to re-engineer the whole solution, and rewrite it from scratch in a different language, to be able to scale up more easily.
Several team members are working together for this update:Fulvio "Gek" Genova, Luca Mosca and Andrea Lojelo on App and the management system development, and Giancarlo Graziano to help on the graphics of the website.
We will have also a new web interface for the RSR Live Timing, designed and implemented by Gergo Racz, with some nice new functionality.
We have a lot of nice ideas that will be implemented and released in the following drops.

We are currently testing the last bits, and we are really close to the first release the new app.
