iRacing system in netKar PRO, beta test started

Hi,

We some months ago started making the iR system for nK PRO. Now the first beta test started.

Some feature:
-Safety Rating, calculated from flags, and car contacts.
-nkRating (same with iRating), calculated from strenght of fields and finish position.
-lots of races /days
-licence system from rookie to A (on future maybe PRO)
-auto starting order from qualification results.
etc...

now, maybe some bugs in the system, please find it!

This week only qualifing and single race sessions. From next week (2011.01.17) staring the beta championships. If you like start a bigger licenced chaps, you can collect safety rating this week.

Well nice Idea .. but I cant stand the 1600 and I can't be arsed doing races for a license since I am already not a bad racer. I also dont know what kunos would think of it, and also I don't know would iracing consider it a breach of copyright.

We don't know who is a bad or good racer.

If system working, lots of races, and hopefully the people more like the netkar, because same with iRacing, and more cheaper. If people like, mor customer for Kunos. If no good this for Kunos, we stop the project.

We not use iRacing logo or anything. the Game developers all time copy from other the features.

Please help testing, we very need a beta testers.

U can use nickname. Just fill out the Guid field in the Profil.

Neat idea. Not sure how this all works though. I don't see the F1600 short version of Prato in the netkar server list but it's on your list.

Nice idea guys and very nicely done.

One thing took me a while to understand was where was my server
I kept refreshing but I didn't see my server. Then I though: if the server is started automatically I will never seen it because of a bug in the server list! If you use the refresh button, in fact, it doesn't load the new servers.

So, as a quick guide for everyone:
1) select your race on their website
2) when the time on the website is the same of your race, the website will tell you which server to join
3) you will find your server online. If you are already in the server list page, don't press refresh, will not work. Just go back and open the server list again. You will find your server.
4) have fun in you race!


Can you give a some more details about the way your nkrating is calculated?
and what about your safety rating?

with our team we where thinking about a nkrating concept and strength of field also (the log analyzer you have maybe heard about).I've been studying the iRacing sportive code, among other rating system to propose something like this.

I'm really glad you have done it guys. Some of the ideas are really brilliant. Well done!
I hope you will open you system to other websites, so everyone can host a server with rating.

One note: I just joined one of your server just to try it out. The ping was terrible! 800+. It was the same for other users also.

quindi se non ho capito male per accedere per ipotesi alla KS2 bisogna prima conseguire dei punteggi che vengono registrati sul sito sulla base del comportamento in pista e del risultato finale...
la cosa sembra interessante ma non mi è ancora chiaro il funzionamento generale del sito.
prima di iscrivermi vorrei ancora capire se le piste sono solo le 4 che ho visto o si può correre su tutte?
poi non caspisco perchè creare gruppi di simracer simili

nice to have:
- show who is registered to the race.
- automatically register for the following races on the same server. if the user disconnect from the server, it will be unregistered automatically from the following races. This will help having more people on track.
- show statistics about all the users

Fantastic to see someone developing an iRacing style system for nKPro Safety rating and grouping races by iRating is exactly why I prefer iRacing to nKPro these days. This is what could get me back racing nKPro on a more regular basis.

As soon as 1.3 is released I'll sign up to your site and check it out. Good luck with developing the system!


Andrea... If this works in the same way as iRacing then showing who is registered for a race is a bad idea. It leads to people not entering races they know they wont do well in as they wont gain much rating. Anyone who's tried iRacing will understand that showing who is registered for a race is not a good idea.

We working on system, just we have a real life job, and only after can working on nkworld.

We found some little and some big bugs, thx for the beta tester, please testing more.

Hi, very nice and interesting project.

Only one question. I registered this morning but still not received the account activation email.

Already checked SPAM folder etc, email adress is regularly working, so I'm asking if it's normal to have to wait so long or if there is definitely a problem with my registration.

Having lots of fun with this Thanks Laszlo 1 hr till the nxt quali session for the target.

Now am having to practice offline for the nxt session would it be possible to have practice servers up, may be Andrea could help you out here if your limited on servers?

We really need to encourage people to practice online instead of hotlapping offline.

As I said at the beginning we would love to have our server using this new method!

If you guys are interested we will give you full support with our server.

We have plenty of ideas also on the nkrating also.
We can have a quick chat and see if some of them can be incorporated in your new method.

I was thinking if its ok with Laszlo diff groups ie us and DI could host diff cars so we could have more races more often.

If its possible to synchronise them.
One suggestion I have is to have different licenses for different cars or the very least 1 licence for open wheeler and one for tintops. (this is a popular suggestion on the iracing forums) just an idea!

I wonder to be on the safe side you could change safety rating to say Race craft just in case Iracing have "safety rating" under copyright
