If you crash your car you can always press "esc -> go to pit -> fix car", and continue your race. No penalty will be assigned.

questa regola penalizza solo chi non fa incidenti alla prima curva, ma non è così veloce, perchè viene ripreso e sorpassato come succedeva nel precedente campionato con la ks2...
la cosa più giusta è che chi fa esc go to box e fix car perda almeno 1 lap cosa normale nelle gare di realtà... invece capita che chi fa ciò poi riesca addiruttura a vincere


this rule only penalizes those who are not accidents at the first corner, but not so fast, because it is taken up and passed as they did in the previous season with KS2 ...
The best thing is that those who go to esc box and fix cars lose at least 1 lap normal thing in competitive reality ... but then what happens to those who fail indeed on winning

Will ESC always be allowed in qualy (like in the previous champs.), driving a hotlap and then ESC without an inlap back to the box ?
I would prefer to deny ESC in qualy -unless you crash-, just for the more realistic feeling, but I guess the days of full-mode are gone.. . Since we can't check all drivers behaviour as long you can't see in the log, who pressed ESC.

Unfortunately there is no way in the log to detect who press esc, therefore we can't enforce any rule like this.

For this reason it's always allowed to press ESC, even during qualification, even without the inlap back to box.


In the team everyone agrees with you, Marco, about the full mode. We all love it for the great realisting feeling and pressure it gives. Such a pity it can't be used anymore.

visto che a nessuno piace il tasto esc perchè non imporre 30 secondi di stay in pit per chi fa esc go to box anche per equilibrare le sorti della gara, o perlomeno cercare un qualcosa che sul registro possa far capire che un pilota usa il tasto esc?
visto che nel live timing si vede se qualcuno provoca un incidente non si riesce a capire se qualcuno usa il tasto esc go to box? io penso che se riusciamo a trovare questo elemento si possano cambiare le regole e anche ad essere sicuri che tutti le rispettino perche segnato nel registro di gara

because no one likes because the esc key not to impose a 30 second pit for those who stay in esc go to box also to balance the fate of the race, or at least try something that can log on to explain that a pilot uses the esc key ?
as seen in the live timing if someone causes an accident you can not tell if someone is using the esc key to go box? I think that if we find this element you can change the rules and also be sure that all the respect because they scored in the register of tenders

Davide, as I said there is no information available on the logs, so we can't enforce any time/lap penalty. We tried this before, but it isn't easy to apply this rule and it will not be deterministic.

We should all try our best to drive safely, especially in the first lap. At A1-Ring, in particular, as you may have noticed from the test races we do every day, it's very easy to hit someone in the first corners, due to the hard braking zones.

Both races are long enough to gain your position in a safe way. Be smart. Brake earlier, give space to you opponent, be predictable. It would be a pity to waste your race (and someone else's) on the first lap.

Instead of thinking about rules on what to do in case of crash, let's focus on how we can avoid incidents. Rules are, in any cases, the same for everyone.

Please, don't forget to add your allocation for the race.
This is very important for us to undestand how many servers we will need for the race. Thanks for you help.

Non mi sono "allocato" volutamente perchè ho deciso di rinunciare al Champ, od almeno a queste prime gare per vari motivi. Non mi cancello del tutto perchè al limite mi alloco solo per qualche gara se mi viene voglia e sempre se si può.Come avrete notato per le Open Wheels mi sono già allocato con largo anticipo ;-)
Se invece dovevo comunicare l'assenza od avvertire chiedo scusa .

si puo sempre farti qualche gara...e no senza allocazione nn bisogna avvertire...

puo' partecipare ma nell'ultimo gruppo disponibile. C'e' tempo fino a stasera prima della gara per fare un giro.

Driver that didn't do any lap during the prequalifications will race in the last group.
You still have time to do your lap. Prequalification results will be finalized before the race (as late as possible).

Make sure you install it before the race. NOTE: it contains even some skins not posted in the skin pack topic.

Però effettivamente nell'allocazione ci sono le 3 possibilità, quindi metto "Driver will not participate".

e' a tua scelta. Per noi e' semplicemente un modo per capire quanti server dobbiamo prevedere.
Un no esplicito (Driver will not participate) ci aiuta sempre perche' ci da meno dubbi. Almeno sappiamo che non si e' scordato di allocarsi, e di conseguenza non si presentera' di sicuro.


It's always better for us to have an explicit "Driver will not participate" since we can plan our servers in a better way, and we will loose less time in the briefing.

A stasera!!

I just got a wonderful news, and I can't help sharing with you.

On the 29th and 30th of April I will drive on a Mitsubishi EVO on the Red Bull Racing Ring (A1-Ring), and I will have some more activities there (small training, karting sessions and trial biking). This is one of the activities organized during a long weekend organized by my company for their 10th Anniversary. It will be a great fun...and...all for free! Not something you get very often

I'm sure I'll be quite well trained. I'll make tons of pictures for sure. Who knows, maybe we can improve even further our A1-Ring track...for AC!
