Third official race of the KS2 Series: Shanghai

Here is the schedule:
21:00 (GTM+1) Briefing in our Chat
Qualification: 20 minutes. No restriction on the amount of laps
Warmup: 5 min (waiting time before the race session)
Race 1: 37 laps (25 in case of rain)

Full Mode will be used.

the first thing i have noticed is this track is very tight and technical - especially heading into turn 1. we need to get used to driving together in order to recognise the correct braking points with 15 cars.

il server non e' lo stesso usato giovedi' scorso. continuo a credere che sia qualcosa legato a qualche client che manda un messaggio non corretto che crea il crash agli altri. ti ricordi se per caso eri in gara con qualcuno che era in pista anche giovedi' scorso in gruppo A?

per un attimo è entrato gek ma è uscito subito dopo che è uscito c'è stato il crash

The following drivers where allocated in Sepang race but not in race:
marco boni,Oleg Atiskov,Fortunato Catalano,Laszlo Janos,Martin,Luca Mosca,Gaetano Palmisano,Ivan Naboyshchikov

we applied the following rule:

Drivers allocated didn't show up for the race > allocations for the following races will be deleted. The driver can obviously allocate again without problems. This will prevent having drivers allocated for the full championship, but never showing up.

Please make sure that you allocate on time, and you explicitly update it to NO or delete your allocation in case you will not take part of the race.

i was on all test in sepang showing not bad times.. but in race day my NKP didnt see servers at all.. just server 0/1..so that was not my foul... thats why i wasnt in sepang.. i allocate in shanhai again

I'm sorry to hear that, Oleg.
This rule is not meant to penalize anyone. In fact you can easily allocate again without any problems.
We needed to have a way free up the places held by people that are allocated but most probably will not show up again.

We are aware that anyone can have a small problem at the very last minute that will prevent him to update the allocation.
For this reason no points are deducted, just the allocation.

Thanks for sharing your setup on the Rank Simon. Even if I can't drive it worth a damn, it's helpful to get something to compare to.

Nice lap Simon...I noticed that your force feeback saturation bar is always on the limit, that means you are loosing some feedback and some information from the steering wheel (for example you cam't feel the steering wheel being softer when the tires are at their saturation)...I found last year very helpfully to make lower the value on the netkar pro page set-up (the same page as the FOV set-up..I do not remember the name of the parameter...), having the bar over the limit just after some hard bump...

I also notice that you are using auto clutch...I use the manual one...I think you can gain some tenth using the manual (I have just two pedal...but this is not a problem), but I know there are different opinion on this...

I also use a really low FFB gain for my KS2 as well. Nice lap Simon.

At the moment there is light rain at Shanghai. I just started up one more server with this configuration (20% rain).

Final decision on the racing conditions for tonight will be taken at 19:30

Small note, just to avoid to answer always to the same question:

with 20% rain you will have the Slick Tires. This is normal. There is no way you can change it.

Rain tires will be used (so automatically loaded) only in case the server configuration is with 50% rain or more

another crash to desktop, though this time i had really bad FPS for 1 lap.

it is deffinitely a server issue. we will have no weather until it is fixed i guess

this also brings my back to the question of leaving the results as they are. if you do, redline no longer wish to participate in the champ until the problems are fixed, because that would be 2 races in a row i would have been robbed of a victory and maarten 54 due to server issues if you decide to keep the points, i would like sepang's points aswell (as you can probably understand )

in race i cant fill the car???? or what?why i entered pit change tyres push fill the car and it 3562.0 in garage?? why that?

unfortunately I got a CTD also. the biggest issue is that we have no clue about why this is happening.
