this should be a very good race. its very hard to overtake unless someone makes a mistake - the only decent opportunity is along the straight. the bumps should play a big role too - people need to get the best out of the car setup-wise in order not to spin. cant wait Very Happy

Yes, setup is very important here !
After some test i find that ARB rear we need to use at 0 because with all these bumps rear tyres need to works individually.
This is a funny onboard with the mod sound in external cam and it's actually my PB.

    Here the setup used: http://www.g5c.com/prt/wp-content/uploads/2010/09/mugello-qual.zip

ive been reading netkarcentral and it seems we have to use high soft / hard suspension due to all the bumps. the key, as you say, is in the ARB, because if you have it too high you just understeer and the tyres overheat in no time. ill take a look at the setup and report back to you Very Happy

I think that the value to see is the % of Roll.
We have to use it, i think, near to 51% - 52% in qual and near to 52% - 53% in race.
Value over 53% cause understeer after some laps and overburning of ant tyres.
    My setup is soft-medium.
In Barcelona was more hard of course.

I've test your set (great thanks for sharing ! 09 Dec 2010: Mugello 361709 ) pretty confortable for 1 or 2 laps, but goes too understeer for me even I decrease a lot camber and toe at front wheels
On my own set, I've got a little bit more stiff ARB (10 front/12 behind) because I like more reactive cars, and I've 26/24 on aéro setting (less charge on tires)

Also I begin to wonder if there is not a problem with new tires, because I've tried a lot of things for decrease front tires Temp ( I'm going over 130/120 °C after few laps Shocked ) but nothing is working....if someone have an idea I take it Laughing

It depends only from how many u steer during the corner.
Try to put ffgain to 0.600 o 0.700 and so u can "prove" when your car is in understeer.
Simple u need to steer less during the corner.
The ks2 has this little problem, if u steer a lot ... u over burn your ant tyres and after u have only understeer.
    Try 26-22 ...

thanks for the advice Wink and I think you're wright
I was thinking too about my driving style, but I'm already at 0.700 ffb gain (G25 with 100% in logitech panel) and it's difficult for mo to feel correctly when I steer too much

I'll try lower values for ffb gain Very Happy

I use 400° in profiler and 12 steer ratio in profiler, i think with this setting we never need to steer more then 90° left or right else we risk understeering and overburning ant tyres.

cheater Wink (just kidding...everyone could do what he want) netKar PRO is done in a way that you should always have 900' on your profiler, then calibrate it in nkpro. nk will adapt your steering wheel for each car to the correct angle of rotation (900 for abarth, 400 for everything else).

400° in profiler and steering ratio at 12 is really near to be the real degres of the KS2.
I want the finish "rotation" in my wheel, but if i use 900 he do not stop when he need to do ... Wink
I prefer change every time the value in profiler because i use 3 Sims and each one is different about that.

thanks again for your good advice Michele Very Happy
I've just tried 400° (I used to be at 270 09 Dec 2010: Mugello 271945 ) : my times are same as with old steer range ( PB 1.27.2 with 50L of fuel) but there's no more excessive overburning at front tires bounce

edit: I've just managed a 1.26.01 Shocked with 12L and my own set, pretty identical as yours (medium/soft), aero 28/26...the only big difference is in camber (-1.8/-0.8 for me) an toe (-0.2/0.2)
maybe you should try this to improve yours

    Nice Fred Wink

I'm really sorry but only today i know that thursday i will be in varano circuit (350 km from my house) to do some track test with a formula car so i'll return home too late and too tired to do the race.

    Good Luck everyone !

Such I pity you can't join, Michele, but, from the other side, wonderful that you can have some more rear track experiences. Which car will be? Still related to the Trofeo MTV Abarth?

As you all might have noticed, mugello has a peculiar starting straight, that is not exactly "straight"!

Drivers starting on the right should give space to the one on the left, otherwise we will see some collision like the one showed in the picture, even before reachimg T1.
    Please be careful.
