Re: 31 Mar 2011: Melbourne
you wont be kicked from the champ
driving in group A is a bit ambitious considering youre new to the game. i wouldnt recommend it because youll do more harm than good - in the past people who are quite a bit slower just cause problems and other stuff. try to stick to group B until you feel comfortable taking it up to the next level

as I said groups will be using the same distribution schema, therefore doesn't make difference to be in group A, B or C.
Hopefully people will behave, and we will have good races.
From the next race groups will be based on the standing.

im not really fussed about the points distribution mate, im just not happy about the fact youre dropping inexperienced / beginners into the group A race where most of the fast guys will all be battling hard for the champ. putting 3 or 4 newcomers in is a silly idea. you know most of us spend quite a bit of time preparing and practising and its almost certain one of them is going to cause an accident, especially on melbourne. this will also cause more pain because its more than likely they dont understand the rules and how to act to different flags and scenarios whereas all the usual group A drivers do. i dont know how anyone else feels but thats what i think.
not rebelling, just saying.

mika it's the same method we used in the last championship, in which we had the championship title assigned at the last race as you might remember

Is it just one race, or are there two races? And if there are two races how is the grid done for the 2nd race?

Re: 31 Mar 2011: Melbourne
I will be in group B, that is strange since I'm a fast and stable driver...just in barhain I didn't partecipate to qualify for a crash in the out lap, and the ranking is not working for me there (my best is around 2.42!!!)...I would prefer to be in the group A since we all know each other...
For example me and Antonio, which won the team championship last here will be both in the group b!!!
We will accept this kind of regulation, hoping for a clean race and respectufl drivers...
See you in track

Moreover, if you look at my best time in bahrein race I did 1.36.3, which is 3th best time of the race weekend....last year I finished in the 7th position in the champ...I expected to be in the "A" group...What happened? Is there a mistake?
Thanks!
Thanks!

Re: 31 Mar 2011: Melbourne
In this stage nobody knows how strong is any of us. I've seen that in both group A and B there are strong drivers and less experienced.Fabio Grippa wrote:Moreover, if you look at my best time in bahrein race I did 1.36.3, which is 3th best time of the race weekend....last year I finished in the 7th position in the champ...I expected to be in the "A" group...What happened? further more, even a good driver can do mistake, so I don't get what the problem is.
Both groups will use the same point system, so for the 1st in group A will take the same points of the 1st in group B.
We just needed to have a criteria to divide us in groups.
I think it wouldn't be fair for the newcomers to arrange groups like:
-all good fast guys in groups A
-all other elsewhere
even because otherwise in group A would be potentially more complex to get good points, because we know there are a lot of good drivers there.
In a couple of races groups will be fully based on your real strength.
If you guys have a better way to determine groups, please write your suggestions here.
I think it's not fair to be afraid in advance about newcomers.
In the past excellent drivers joined the champ, and are now fully respected by everyone.
Give everyone the chance to prove themself.
If anyone will stick to the rules there will be no problem, in group A and B.
People that will clearly ignore the rules will be warned, and then banned from the championship if the will do that again.
