I downloaded gtr2 image for some of these RSR tracks.

Monza looks decent for a add-on track and runs smoothly. Andrea made a post about optimize textures. Is it possible to try that for Mugello? It's still very laggy and hardly driveable.

Re: Monza RSR
yes, working on this optimization for some more of our tracks was definitely something in or to do list.

Sorry, don't remember where I found it....

Is that a "dangerous to see" track????
I'll try to change the image asap!

Haha, not copyrighted, just from an experiment which might cause a fuss (if someone recognised it)

Re: Monza RSR
Now that Imola has been released I decided to up this thread as I would like to hear your opinion on this: Monza always had problems with framerate, textures and so on. Compared to Imola, to me it looks like there could be a lot of improvements: do you think that a collaboration between Mauro and Gek would be possible to "revamp" the track and make it even more fps friendly?
It would be great to have this track on par with Mugello and Imola!

Re: Monza RSR
I think some people increased their frame rate at the second chicane (sorry I don't remember the name - shootable offence in Italy
) by deleting a load of trees. I'm guessing as Monza was a conversion they probably don't wunna spend more time on it.

Re: Monza RSR
@Candini: I don't think Imola does s.th. different -or does it ?, for me Imola is even more FPS-demanding the whole track through than Monza -but with tuning my PC it is ok luckly-, Monza just had
problems in second chicane + the two following corners a little bit too, because of the tight 'forest' there I guess like Carey said. After the update of the more demanding v1.0 to v1.2 or s.th. it got generally
a bit more FPS-friendly also.
So yes, removing some of the trees there may solve the big FPS problem at this place on the track.

Re: Monza RSR
With Imola it's the quality textures that hits FPS, Monza is poorly optimised (SimBin's fault
). You can try deleting a whole load of stuff in KOF
P.S. Even on my PC I noticed a bit of slow down at the start of races @ Imola (with a full grid).

Re: Monza RSR
During the online races I did at Imola I experienced some fps drop on certain parts of the tracks, but the minimum always was well over 60. With Monza this didn't happen, probably because (as you said) of the original SimBin's version.
