Re: Monza RSR
updating of NetKar is scheduled for January 6, day or Championship resumes with RSR Monza, so this update occurs before the test, needless to say that the time we spent making a setup will be lost, view that as usual (which will be an asset to the KS2) the physical change of the car!! organizers anticipate this possibility and react accordingly (postponement of the race if behavioral changes are too obvious)

Re: Monza RSR
why?
the changes will be the same for everyone
and for the track its the same layout as the old one

Re: Monza RSR
..don't expect too much from the upcoming NkPro v1.3 update .
btw. regarding new tracks:
If possible don't forget to put the sun in all the new tracks (like at barcelona 2010)..., to have this nice reflections on the tarmac.. !
It gives life to the tracks.

Re: Monza RSR
I actually registered just to say great work guys! Looks fantastic and cant wait to test this track out, and also have some nice races at it!
And just a note about the standard shadow maps. They do look pixelated orginal, but with up sampling and a bit of blur they give a huge amount of life to the track, also very realistic to my eyes, as this is how it looks in reality on a cloud free day with hard light. Maybe you could use those kinds of shadows also in tracks you create, that might suit the kind of trees you have. Just a thought. =)
Keep up the good work! Much appreciated from many netKar users I am certain, although not all showing their faces here.

Re: Monza RSR
Shadows are some of the features that add immensely to immersion. Go thru a straight with the pedal to the metal and shadows dancing on the cockpit creates a true sense of speed.
I've been watching this site daily, and I'm amazed by the quality and passion that you guys put on your work. I'm trying to find tutorials in English to learn more about track conversion, something that covers from the very beginning (101), aimed for rookies. Until now, I've managed to find some tips, but only for people that have some kind of previous knowledge. The tutorials that I've found on this site seems to be good, but unfortunately I can't understand Italian.
Wish you all a fantastic 2011.

Re: Monza RSR
Love this circuit. Have been there in 2008. I wish we could race the old circuit, with the long banked curves... perhaps in a future release?

Re: Monza RSR
Superb work!! The textures are very very good, this track is a blast! For the first time I had to downgrade my AA settings in game to mantain 60FPS along the circuit. Was using 8xAA with supersample on my HD5850, getting from 47FPS to 60FPS (using vsync). In order to obtain steady 60FPS, I've lowered to 4xAA (can do the same thing maintaining 8xAA and lowering to multisample, but I prefer supersample)
Great track, kudos to all who worked hard on this.
